Did you hear about the Montecito CA mudslide?
« on: January 10, 2018, 10:26:25 AM »
Never imagine happening in the US.  I think the recent fire may have been contributing factors.

There's always mud slides in that area but people keep building on the mountainside anyway.  You'd think they'd learn after the last big mudslide or two ago.

You mean: the cold, the humidity, the slippery black ice, minus degree days, blizzards, the salty cars, the rusts, lack of Mountains, and all the racists, right?

Although, I think next few years would be good for deer hunters since there's been mild weather in the midwest in the last few years.  O0

Disclaimer: mild weather in the midwest doesn't mean the same as mild weather in Ca.  It just means there are less days with minus degree weather. It's still frozen and cold. ;D

nostraDUMAs predicts that the recent mud slide is just a warning of worst things to come...soon California will mud slide right off of the US continent, into the ocean.  Proadlao did it...Yax should follow suit and move to the midwest where there is 'the cold, the humidity, the slippery black ice, minus degree days, blizzards, the salty cars, the rusts, lack of Mountains, and all the racists'.   O0 O0

;D  Every few years when it rains hard, there's a mudslide in that area.  If you've been there like I have you'd understand why.  Has nothing to do with Ca sinking into the ocean.  ;D

The recent fire wiped out all the structures that keeps the mountains at bay thus when it rains, it will go sliding.

Still, rich people will flock n build upon it.

I predict the Next mud slides will happen when doodoo flows down zdn's leg.

The hills in that area don't have any trees so there's no strong root system to hold the mud in place.  There's just grass so when it rains, the dirt gets soaked and slides down easily.  Fires aren't even needed for that to happen.

No sweat.  Montecito is home to the super rich people and they build better homes after old ones are gone.

I knew a guy who was a poker dealer.  He moved to that area just to deal poker to them rich folks.  He said the pay sucks, but their tips make it all worth it.
