Optima's aren't 100% fool proof though.  They're good batteries but like I've said Diehards in my experience are more reliable.  I've seen less issues with Diehards than Optimas.  Use to see plenty of returned Optimas when I worked in home/car audio.

Who here said Optimas were fool proof?? :idiot2:

Just stated that what she paid for her interstate (which is a solid brand vs rebadged/renamed store brand) seemed kind of high.  :P

interstate are solid but $140 seems like highway robbery. That's pushing into Optima territory.

Those OEM batteries have weaker cold cranking amps (CCA) compared to store batteries. I believe she's only in CA, so high CCA isn't a must.

Hopefully you're not in a tornado area because that thing looks like it'll fly away faster than an entire trailer park.  O0

How many kids??

You already have a tow vehicle in the tundra, why not consider an odyssey?? Get past all the silly minivan biases because it'll be way better and easier to access your car seats with the larger sliding doors.  Fold the rear seat down and there's tons of cargo space.  Great for hauling and you won't have to worry about tying anything down.  :D

You're probably saying you need 4 wheel drive…. Realistically, it may come in handy on 2-4 occasions max. You already know they plow fairly quickly here in town. Just find a set of rims on Craigslist and slap some snow tires on.  O0

i put a small 8" yamaha sub under the white outlet by the window in the second pic. it's connected to wireless receiver/sender. i'm not a sound guy so still trying to calibrate the speakers/sub.

there are 2 ways to control the volume of the sub. the sub has its own volume control in the back. the av receiver has sub volume control in the menu. do i turn the menu volume to max and then adjust the volume manually on the back of the sub, or do i set the sub volume in the back to max, and then control the volume from menu? make any sense? :)

The sub has an actual volume or gain knob?:dontknow:  Either way, I'd turn the sub knob 1/4 - 1/2 up with the receiver setting at zero and then increase the receiver boost to your liking.  That way there's room to increase output directly at the sub when Dre Day comes on.  O0 ;D

For my 5.1, I like my center close to fully maxed out since that's the most important channel when the surround is on.  I'll increase the fronts a little and more boost for the surrounds as I want a really nice surround effect.

Putting plywood over the bare floor isn't going to make the floor any warmer over not using it.  It's a basement, so since its a blank slate,  just put with vents (ceiling and lower wall mounted) in there if you're worried about keeping it warm in the winter.  Just make sure you have a damper close to the furnace that you can close because you won't need all that air flow during the summer.  Or... you could go baller status with in-floor heating under a wood or tile floor. :D

Here's mine, look at that paint and wax job, got my neighbor to do it, gave him some blox cam gears for it.

Not gonna lie, I really wanted the white with tan interior.  Say a lot of grays for sale and cheaper.  Settled for the red, couldn't find any white.  Didn't want black.

Love my GPW but wish it was a pearl white...  :-\  At least it has the black with red interior and not the tan.  ::)

She's under cover for the quite mild winter we been having so far...  O0
