Title: Fence

I want to put in a wood fence. What do you guys reccomend? And how should I go about in starting this project?
Is it better to DIY or get a contractor?

I want a gate/security fence in my front yard but then it will require a permit to have it my way because city code is only 4ft tall and 2 1/2 for corner.  I did concrete work 3 weeks ago so that was the purpose but then I haven't got any estimate or contractor out to check it.

DIY will save you money, but if you have not done it before, I recommend you thoroughly research before attempting.  Or else, just hire a pro to do the job.  Good luck!
