February 8, 2018

A California politician — who has been a vocal supporter of the Me Too movement — is reportedly under investigation after a former male staffer accused her of groping him.

Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia allegedly cornered the then-25-year-old staffer in the dugout in 2014 after the annual state assembly softball game and squeezed his butt, according to Politico.

The staffer, Daniel Fierro, told the newspaper that he “extricated himself” from the situation before the assemblywomen could grab his crotch.

Post by: theking on February 22, 2018, 09:22:24 AM: Yep. Like how I reminded another PH member that 'non-reporting' doesn't necessarily mean that it's low or doesn't happen.

He claimed that rape cases are low in Asian countries like Japan and I had to remind him that there are a lot of non-report cases due to the "family lose face" factor there....same goes for some Hmong families too because in their case, their daughter's bride price just plummeted if they out it.

Therefore, I think there are more men raped/sexually abused cases but many just don't reported for what ever reason.

Post by: lazypirateday on February 26, 2018, 04:32:50 AM: It happens. I was in 7th grade with a hall pass to the bathroom. On the way back these 2 black 8th grade girls cornered me and rammed their hands under my shirt and down the crotch. No one would believe me when I brought it up. :'(

So yeah, ever since then I've learned there's a very thin line when hitting on a girl is considered harrasement or flirting.

I remembered back in elementary school, when a girl wants to play with the boys and the boys don't want her, she will cry to the teacher and the teacher made the boys play with her but when a boy complains to that same teacher that the girls don't want to play with him, she just tells the boy, move along... ;D

Wasn't me but when in the playground with other kids and teachers, things like that happened and I observed it at the time. ;D
