Where are the single people 30+ at? How does one find a single hmong guy/girl this day and age? It's so hard now a day. Even new years are not helping bc most ppl there are either kids or OGs only. 😔
-
Probably busyworking
-
Depends ..... on where, what type of method, etc...

if you're in the twin cities...go to monkong or pupraya, on the weekends! i'm never there but if you go, i'll be there!
-
On the internet? It is like finding a needle in the haystack, you have to get to know friends of their friends in order to find them.
-
Online and through family/friends/acquaintances.....but be cautious online, since there are catfishes out there. ;D

O0 So, I wander..even if you are 30+, lives in a place like California or Minnesota where there is a big Hmong community and still can't find someone, something must be wrong with you... Lol.
-
The right one will surely come along, looking too hard could be a mistake.

Is it wrong to be a workaholic? Or to want to be single? Or to have very VERY high standards? :D ;D

Try the bookstores or library. I doubt Hmong guys go there but its worth a try... lol

Lmao. At what point do you call it quit tho. Most Hmong girls I know as they get into their 30s, will give up and start dating outside the community. Glad I'm a guy, I can always married someone younger. HINT: Taking applications ::)

Love can occur anytime and anywhere. Even if you’ve made up your mind about no longer finding a partner.....it can still happen, whether in the Hmong community or outside. O0 Nowadays, both men and women can marry younger/older if they’re open to it (within reason, of course). ;D

Yeh, in the same boat as all of you whom are single. I'd given up trying to meet people. Week days after work, just try to relax at home then weekend comes, I try to sleep thru it like a drunk. The more you think about your singles miserable existence the deeper you get into depression.
Now; I personally think that we single people need to look at the bright side. We're in our 30's something, even if you don't make much money, you have money regardless. At this point, we really don't have much prospect here, and am tired of this dating game(I know I'm) we may need to just compromise and head overseas. This isn't just for us men alone, women should do the same too.

If you are 30+ you are an OG. :crybaby2:
-
I don't like dating, either. Always spending money for lunches.

At work. At home. At gatherings. At the grocery store.
This one time, a produce guy went above and beyond by getting me a veggie bag when I could have gotten it, he even opened the bag for me, and got me a tissue after I grabbed a veggie and put it in the bag and my hand was wet. I thought he was really making an effort and I was really touched by his gestures. He was either either a really kind man or that was his way of picking up women.

So you're saying it's time I go to Laos to find a wife? :D Lolol

so glad I don't have to deal with all that.
-

:2funny:
What can I say. Just do the math, the stats are not on your side. Just try talking to some girls at the new year. With that number, you're definitely an old geezer. I'm planning to go overseas after the new years. I guess it's better to be known as sugar daddy than og. Besides, more choices...

Not in this boat, but I have a single sister, I think. I say I think because she is really secretive about who she dates. Never know until it's over, and we're close. ;D
Anyway, I see there are plenty of people at the church events, church, soccer/volleyball tournaments, school, and library.
Where online? I am in the same boat lol.

Catch y’all at church.

Just got back from the lake...there were no chicks...but plenty of fishes in the water. ;D

I saw a few chickens at the lake...they were stealing fish left on the ice.

That's simple. Just watch and see if he does that to the men. If he does, then he's just a really kind man, otherwise..
-

That's funny. Last night, I dreamt I was by a lake and was thinking, "Hmm.. Is this the famous Phalen lake, that MN folks hang out at? Where's all the MN folks?", but of course, in my dream, it wasn't winter either.
-
O0 So, I wander..even if you are 30+, lives in a place like California or Minnesota where there is a big Hmong community and still can't find someone, something must be wrong with you... Lol.
Nothing's wrong. You're just ugly, that's all. ;D

It's like a pyrmid. As you head up in age, the choices gets smaller.

It's gotta be a lot of work, trying to keep in shape so when the right one comes along, he'll be interested though.

Phalen lake has ducks hanging out there. ;D Even in winter time, they swim around in a certain spot and keeps the ice from forming on it. People keep hand feeding the ducks so they don't fly south.
-
It's winter here, and best place to hang out is at home... ;D ;D and probably the gym.. O0
-
Single is the best, y'all can do watever y'all want. Without getting into trouble with ur S/O. Clubbing, hanging out banging those side chicks. I wonder if StarGay is still open or did the city shut them down?. Gosh I haven't been there in over a couple of years ago.
-
It's like a pyrmid. As you head up in age, the choices gets smaller.
Unless you expand your horizons. ;D
It's gotta be a lot of work, trying to keep in shape so when the right one comes along, he'll be interested though.
Keeping physically fit shouldn’t be for the other person, it should be done for yourself. I don’t consider this a lot of work, especially if it makes you healthy and feel good about yourself. :P

Great point but narrow minded folks can't fathom such a concept unfortunately. .. ;D

Try the bookstores or library. I doubt Hmong guys go there but its worth a try... lol
Hahaha! I once thought about trying the library to meet a guy because a guy who's into books is... mmm... yummy! ;D But no Hmong guy goes to the library. Or....... do they? Hmmm.
-
With that said, if anyone wants a chat with me... all you gotta do is go to Barnes & Noble... I'm that girl with the nerdy glasses with her face in a book... with a cup of coffee next to her. ;D

I used to take my daughter to the library but that was back before she went to school and I was home watching her. ;D

Unless drunk cuz a bookstore or a library are the worst places to pick up a chat. It is quiet, dead quiet so how are we going to chat? It is so quiet that anyone can hear your screaming of sexual harrassment thus is an automatic big time no no place to pick up women. However, catch you outside will be a different story.

would you get up and go or start a conversation if i sat down next to you with the kama sutra book?
-
LOL...just reading this.
There was this Asian mother who tried to pick me up at the Grocery store. She had her daughter with her shopping too.
Of course I was only grocery shopping and my ice cream is melting. ;D I forgotten what the conversation was...anyways afterwards.
Now I think grocery shopping is a great place to meat singles.
You walk down the aisles and you keep running into each other. You smile as you walk past them, and take sneak peaks behind your back. You stay at the other end of the aisle and gaze at their strides and pretend you're looking at a package.
It's even more awkward to have a conversation at the library. What book are you reading/checking out. It's a book on the opposite sex... :2funny:

I walked by two during my lunch break. Obviously viets with the Blondie highlights but I kept on walking. We will never see each other again.
Women are everywhere these days. Looks like my balls have shrunk but it is for my own good. Don't catch me on the weekend when my hunting mode is on.

LOL this happened all the time when I use to work at corporate american down town.
I always meet these wonderful sexy ladies either in the skyway or standing in line trying to get lunch.
"You wanna share a table?"
"I'm lost can you help me?
That's what they sometimes say to me.
Me, "I'm gonna need the table space, cuz I have two lunches I'm trying to eat."
"I can't help you, cuz I have no idea where I'm at right now."
:idiot2: Was I stupid! They be trying to give me hints and it's just went past my head. Well actually I saw where their eyes was looking at and it was somewhere below my belt line. I was at the time seeing someone and/or married.
Now I'm single again...soooo. :2funny:

Actually I was in the canned vegetable canned soup section...LOL she was asking me something about noodles another two aisles down away. It was something about how can you cook something and if you know how to prepare something...
I was more concern with...You see the ice cream bucket in my cart? It's melting.
At that time, I was still a young guy twenty something only.
-

So you know how tiny some of them stupid little lunch tables are? I put my two lunches on it and I really haven't got room for my one large drink already. I know space is tight in them skyline area,
I once pointed north...or I thought so, then it was only afterwards like two weeks I google and I was pointing southwest. LOL..skyway and underground ways after a while is confusing in actual direction. I walk the path I walk, but I really don't know what the names of each building or block is or are.
Someone asked me where I got the great Stromboli sandwiches and I say, it's easier if I just show you rather than tell you, but you must be willing to walk at least 15 minutes.
And one must be careful in the downtown area...them great looking ladies are often nothing but escort services trying to get new clients. Like the one time gorgeous looking girl, you can almost accuse of working the red light ask me for some change to make a phone call. I've seen her hang out in the area this past week. Well I've also seen her use her cell phone before too. I had one of them stupid small flip phone still. Oh you need a phone call, I've got a phone for you to use pull it out of my pocket. She pretends to dial and said no one answered. Later I look at my phone, not a single number was dialed. The timing of the place where she stopped me, when no one was around. Very suspicious. Not that I want to be suspicious of everyone, but that's how people get mugged when one gets lead to another place where no one is around. I knew that the service garage and elevators were rather close by and no one goes there unless they be service personnel.

Hmong guys at a library? What a laugh. You might find some nerdy other type of Asian guy though.
I frequently take my children to secondhand bookstores. Lots of white people in there, young, old, single, married, etc. They are looking for books, magazines or old vinyls. My kids like to look for anime books and other good reads.
NO NON-WHITES EXCEPT FOR MY KIDS AND MYSELF.
There has never been another time when I saw a non-white at these stores. Even BN is empty of them. Except one time I was talking with an Indian family.

Asian grocery store is probably the best place for men to pick up a single Hmong gal in her 30s. Simply just go and ask if she knows where to find dried Chinese yams. Choose an item that will actually draw her to walk down the aisle with you. Then to find out if she's single, maybe ask her what she is shopping for. If she's married she'll tell you right away. "I'm making pho for my family. The kids really want to eat pho."
If she's single, her response is typically, "my mom asked me to come get these items..."
Anyways, single gals tend to be shopping for their maternal family because they're having a small gathering of sorts. Sometimes she's with an older woman, her mom, or other females around her age (sisters, aunts, etc.). But you can usually tell who is single and who is not.
Then just start a conversation.
The problem is that at this age, women don't want to play around. If you're really interested then show it. Let them know your intentions immediately. Women don't want to get into long-time-boyfriend/girlriend-who-knows-where-this-is-going-to-end-relationships. Is this going to be 10 years of dating before tying the knot? Ridiculous!
If the guy has to think too much about it and wait then it's a CANCEL.
If you're a grown man in your 30s+, then you should know by the third month if you're going to marry this woman after seeing her.

This is almost funny and unbelievable. As it goes most single female are never single alone at the grocery store. They're usually in a group or so. And I never think of hanging out at the Asian grocery store...too busy grocery shopping...my tofu isn't going to cook itself. :2funny: And no, I cannot tell who's single...
Is it the way she walks? The way she looks at the produce? The way she holds it? :P

LOL! Yes, it's the way she holds the produce. :2funny:
But yeah, it'll be hard to tell who's single and who's not. You can just straight up ask her as long as you ask in a NON-CREEPY way... most women don't mind you asking if they are single or taken. They'll find it flattering. Maybe just walk by and smile at her in a non-creepy manner... then say, "Hi, how are you? I think you're beautiful, and was just wondering if you are single?" :P

Women hit their wall in their late 20s. Older men dates younger females now.
-
if you're in the twin cities...go to monkong or pupraya, on the weekends! i'm never there but if you go, i'll be there!
I just moved to the Twin Cities recently. Gonna have to check these places out. So this is where all the Hmong professionals hangout?

Great point but narrow minded folks can't fathom such a concept unfortunately. .. ;D
Sometimes it’s not due to being narrow-minded but preference and there’s nothing wrong with that, since most of us have preferences and standards. ;D
-

What is this wall?
Ladies need to come know down my walls O0

So I went to my FB account of which I hadn't used for a long time...Apparen tly there's single people on there, or they claim to be single. >:D

B4, it used to be the clubs but now, even the clubbing scene seems to have expired. B4, they used to come to me and I'll tell them which azn theme club be popping. These days, I can't even tell you one. The girls I've used to bump and grind at the clubs are now married. That leaves her daughters as the next generation of 21 years older and it'll be a creep to see me busting the Mack on them cuz well, I might know her mother. Like imagine this, she introduce me to her mom and we be laughing our azz off cuz her mom and I used to sleep with one another. Oh the torture.
Well the azn clubbing scene have died out and azn promoters of the past have all quits. That means people are spending their leisure time doing other things besides having a night life. In comes social media.
I've joined a hmong group on Facebook and to me, it is like a form of club but without the limitation of getting embarrassed. Like write a short letter and copy and paste style. Hit up 20 single females and paste the same messages to all and just wait for the fish to bite. It is that simple to find something to do on the weekend. Facebook people to the most part are real and best part yet, you don't have to buy them a drink just for them to entertain you either. In my days, this style would make one a digital pimps. You now can have hoees in different area codes if you like but I rather focus on the local ones for quicker access like if they need me now and it is 3am in the morning. Unless I'm planning a trip to MN, I'll change my diet by digital pimping these Midwest women about 2 months in advance. I noticed that if you media talk with someone on a daily basis and for 2 months, they will feel comfortable with you and if you going to be in town, it'll make her toe curls for that one coffee date in frog town MN. :2funny:

So That's how it goes...when email first become available. On college campus there were the email dating thingy.
Write an introduction, an invite, or a what's up email...copy paste and hit send.
Then there was the BCC...awesome. Just write once and make sure, they're all on BCC.
I always find it funny when getting an email that says...I had such a great time with you last night, I think we really click together...so it goes.
I'm thinking, but I was never ever even at that party...my response...I believe you have mistaken me for someone else.
Then even more funny, I get a response...It really was you, please don't leave me.
My response...How can I leave you when I haven't even met you.
silence... :2funny:

You expect to find Hmong professionals at clubs and bars?
I just moved to the Twin Cities recently. Gonna have to check these places out. So this is where all the Hmong professionals hangout?

I heard that those guys in their 60s that go to Laos look for virgin teenage girls only. Those in their 20s are considered old maids there and are indeed being left out.
Women hit their wall in their late 20s. Older men dates younger females now.

yes...you'll find all sorts of hmong people there. from gangsters to doctors, lawyers and even your hmong leaders (pha-thaanz!). What you will find most interesting are single and beautiful women!
