Title: Anyone knows the standard rules to ua neeb for an old person?
Post by: AmazingGrace on May 06, 2019, 11:29:29 PM
I was told that if you are going to ua neeb for a person or elder, you should do it at the beginning of thd year, not after September because the Hmong new year ( meaning tsiab peb caug) is when they send the spirit of the sacrificed animals to reincarnate ?  I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right.

Only the particular day of the lunar month is important for any shaman performance. There are certain days when the spiritual cleansings are just more stable and secure or assured.  Each month has some of those days.

When an elder is sick in October, you don't have the time to wait 'til February to try the healing process.
