He has died? I just watch a documentary about mental illness. His son also suffered the same problem and he is also gifted in math. When he's fine, his' a math genius. When he is in a mental state, he can't do any math.

I read the book a long time ago. John Forbes Nash JR was good enough to win the Fields Medal in Mathematics, but was passed up because they thought was young and may win the next time around. Before the next time around came, he developed schizophrenia. He was great mathematician that never won the ultimate prize. He later won a Nobel Prize in economics for his idea of game theory.
