Yes. I haven't hunt in a long time but still know people in the game so heard it from them. Hopefully, they catch the culprit(s) soon.

Sounds like he was ambushed.
A head wound that the funeral home told the family it took three hours to address so it would be presentable for funeral services, leading the family to believe Chong Yangwas shot once in the head while he was near his tree stand.
Yang's firearm and backpack were taken, a fact police have confirmed, and still have not been found.
There was no evidence of a gunfight in the area where Yang, an experienced hunter, was found dead.

This is nothing but pure murder... kiinda like that dad and daughter being mistaken for deer and were shot to death.
