not phers but I caught a fish(LB) this spring.  all the fish that got away, I think the one I caught was the biggest.  So, I was fine with the other ones getting away.

No lie. My boys took me out fishing for father's day and I lost a good size large mouth. It would've been a personal best or close to it. Incase ya want to know my personal best stands at 11lbs O0

I guess it was my fault. My boys took me out fishing but they kept messing around and I got mad at them. Losing that fish was my punishment :P :'(

So, I took a girl fishing at Marsh Lake in Appleton, MN. Lots of catfish there.

So, we set our poles on separate stands and sat back to watch them.

Hers started bending and she set  the hook. A huge fish was caught and we had to help each other reel it in and also net it.

While still doing that, my pole caught another fish. It was bending and bowing violently. But I was still helping the girl, so I couldn't get to it in time. By the time I got to my pole's spot, the fish had dragged it into the lake  and away into the deep. I didn't dare jump into the water for that.

So, both the pole and the fish got away.

Another time, I had a shrimp as bait on my line, ready for another cat.

I set it by the river side and I sat back to eat a dog that was already in a bun with ketchup.

The pole started shaking. I rushed to it. I lifted the pull and tried to reel in the catch.

Then the line became very light.

Darn! The fish had bitten off the bait and got away.

Not a cat  for sure.

Should go back next year. They are closing it this year because of the renovation works  on the dam. But it's reopening in November again or near that time.

My hooks have broken just so the line could get back to shore. lol

Imagine doubling that line: 400 lbs. You're gonna pull out even a gator!

Damn

You need some stronger hook than
A lot of rookies
I see breaking lines

1. Using 5lbs
2. Using line that is 5 years+++ old
3.  Gotta replace your whole line system at the start of the season

Wear and tear

HmgRock needs to come to SD.

In fact, he should come to ND with us.

I fish buffalo fishes and giant crappies  at Marsh Lake. There are few white basses  there.

What hooks can outdo a 200-lb. or  even just 65-lb. line?

I don't fish enough to create wears on my lines.

I was thinking about her just the other day.

Boy she loved me long time, would do anything for me and buy me things but I wasn't feeling her on that level.

I mean I was pissed drunk on the street and a buddy called the first chick in my Fon and she came through, driving 2 hours to pick my azz up and snuck me into her parents house.  I woke up naked though.  I must of got rape n I liked it.  Wish I knew what went down to enjoy it though.

Young and dumb, I was not looking for a long term gal.  I ghosted her one day after Valentine's day.  She founded out I was talking to another chick on Myspace and called me out.

She loved me to the point of being psycho.

Now I can't even find someone like her for round 2 n marry me.

or you could do the 4 hour to sd.  from what I have been told this place has yet better tasting white bass as compare to the ones up n.d.

The Dakota got some nice water
Their water is bit clearer than ours

Also less traffic
Cars, boat, people, etc....

We got another white bass run in the fall
I’m still good on fish till next year

Third week in a row that I went straight to the ocean to fish after my shift was over.

Went to half Moon Bay jetty and my first cast had my reel peeling.  For sure it felt big n fought hard n I thought it was a sting Ray.  It ended up being a nice striper that hits my lucky craft minnow that I bought online for $15 but was intended to catch them smaller games off the surf like surf perch.  The waves were pounding so I could not get to the bottom rocks.  I got it to the rocks when a kid went down to help me land it.  One hand on the line and the other hand trying to land that fish.  When you do that, you tend to lose fish if the fish decided to make another run.

Yep, you betcha, fish off but my goal was to see what that was and to break the virginity of my new lure.  Also it was my first surf striper and I lost it.  Technically I did not lose it.  I would have flown that fish onto the rocks on my own.  I casted out the next one and had a big strike again but no stick.  I checked my hook and yep, it was all bended

The one that got away from me yesterday evening.  I was going to catch and release anyway so trying to land that fish, I no care.  I've catch plenty of stripers in my days but from the river system so nothing is new to me cept for that goal of catching one from the salt water system.

Now I know the spot, i got a week to pre meditate my fishing tactics till then.

Life is meaningful when you have something to look forward to ya know?

I'm not going to lie folks....but one time me and a friend went carp fishing...and for some oddest reason, we both keep losing them as we reeled them to shore....it was like someone just cut the line as they got to the shore. but line and hook still okay...wierd as hell... Thinking back....there was probably something there day with us we couldn't see.. :-X and we both probably got 10-15 bites each...not a single catch....embar assing, but more creepy now that I think of it...lols

carps get scared really easy
they have good eye sight too
their eye are located almost at the top of their head

you want to scope them up with your net
prefer a long net and do it before they get close to the shore line

once they come near the shore and see you
they going get scared and jump and move to unhook
they got small mouth

always bring a big long net when fishing for carp
don't think you can grab them with your hand like bass
