This is another way of saying you've been automated.  THINK Automated Teller Machines (ATM).  Cashiers are being automated too.

Just trying to help a brother out but it's your life.

here are products that make judgement call based upon metrics:
1) virus scanner
2) spammer detector
3) intrusion detection
4) recommendation s systems
5) imagine recognition system
6) diagnostic systems
7) turbotax/hr block
8) Automated Inspector

The list keeps being added.  What you do is fraud detection.  True, the systems need tweaking but every year the algorithm improves by 15-25%.  Eventually, the number of humans needed total to do your job will decrease.

I'm a dumb conservative as many say and even I get that ;)

Your job will be automated someday.  Continue to build your skills in process development and management.  That is what the computers cannot do.  Computers cannot create and adapt in a dynamic changing market.  People have to readjust the system.  Even adaptable systems are only so much cause we have a poor understand of complexity science.

Slude, I hope you gave the girl a chance.  Like Duck said, we need more woman engineer.  Play the gender and diversity card!  In addition, diversity is critical to creating new ideas.  By bringing people of different gender, race, background, experience, education, etc..., you create a stronger team through diversity.  Excellent leaders build a strength through diversity.

Work Avenue / Sabbatical Leave
« on: July 19, 2017, 12:00:40 AM »
Have anyone ever taken a personal "sabbatical leave?"  How was it readjusting to corporate life?  The pressure, and the stress?  My daughter is two and I haven't worked a real day since she was born.  I intended 1 year sabbatical to rest and travel but instead I took two years instead to travel with my family across the country.  It seems after the first year I couldn't muster the discipline to work on my project even though I had a schema, half a business plan written, and knew I could build a prototype solution out in 6 months.  Perhaps things didn't work out exactly I had imagined so I avoided the project and let wanderlust bite me.  I'm a bit worry I've become dulled, lazy, and out of practice.  More importantly, I'm worried people are trusting me with a great deal of responsibility .  Usually I'm not negative, and perhaps this is signs of anxiety I need to reflect and mediate on to understand why.

If you have done a sabbatical and have gone back to work give me some insights on your prep work to hit the ground running...

Try LETGO, OFFERUP, and Craigslist to see if people buy it.  I've stopped using PC for the most part.  I'm still on my 10 year old computer running intel e8400.

off topic, so did you ever land your IT job?  I'm guessing yes?  How is it going?

Here's a youtube on empty space.

Here's a youtube video on set theory relating to zero and empty set.

Hopefully this helps you understand nothing/null and zero more, and how they are different, and very similar.  We often describe nothing with zero but that's not the same concept.  Lastly, nothing do exist abstractly but not quite real except in a very advance theory field of field theory.

What a stupid law!!!  The government continues to subsidize the real estate owners.  This is despicable.  The only person getting rich here are the real estate owners.  Markets allow prices to reach equilibrium... what a buyer is willing to pay, and what a seller is willing to accept.  If the government sets a bottom, it only means more money for the wealthy and higher cost of rent for everyone.  STUPID.  No wonder california is going bankrupt.  Loonies.  Pay your teachers and firefighters MORE...complet e scam.

The problem wasn't me. The problem lies within y'all false religious fanatics and y'all claim you know the path of righteous.  ;D

I'm starting to think you are trolling now.
