Computer & Technology / Net10 MMS
« on: May 26, 2013, 04:32:57 PM »
Anyone has Net10? Have you been able to get MMS working, sending and receiving. I have a Nexus 4 and used every possible APN settings that can be found online. The Net10 support site is useless, their whole customer service is BS. I had to download a texting app that finally allowed me to send MMS. I hardly ever use MMS, but who knows, it's good know it's working when I might need it.

Sick of these monkeys only knowing how to read scripts.

Need help, I'm trying to redirect a URL from http://testsrv:8080/site to just http://location_of_site

On a windows server 2008, using apache. Do I have to setup a forwarder in DNS, to the index.php file? Any suggestions?

I've used GVoice since they opened up. It's the only number I give out to random people or post on craigslist when selling things. It ties all your cellphones, home phone, and whatever phones into one line. You choose a local number. If you have a palm webos, android, or blackberry phone you can download the GoogleVoice app. iphones, i think you're better off with the web app.

You can screen callers, forced them to say their names before you put them through or send them to voicemail. You can block the caller from calling again. If they do call again, they're hear a "this number has been disconnected or not in service" message. Free SMS messages. Back to voicemails, when people leave voicemails it gets transcribe to a text message that'll you'll get. It does a horrible job if they leave a message in hmong. Obviously!

Computer & Technology / Your favorite Android Apps
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:50:38 AM »
My favorite browser (I just downloaded it a few days ago)

Dolphin HD
You can assign gestures for websites.  Has support for multiple tabs, really quick page rendering, and you can change the user agent (iphone, android, desktop)
  Gesture mode

Beautiful Widgets
Widgets for your home screens (Yeah the weather here has been sucking lately.)

Barnacle Wifi Tether
A great program to tether wirelessly.  I've used it a few times.  You need to be rooted to work.

GoogleTalk
It's amazing.  Free text messaging, doesnt support mms yet.  Free calling.  You have to be invited to use googletalk, that's the only downfall.  I had 3 invites but not anymore, sorry.

APKtor
It's a program just like Cydia.  You have to add repositories to be able to download a ton of Android apps for free.

If you're looking for more apps, check out http://www.mobilism.org
They got a ton of stuff, even for WM phones, iphone/ipod touch, pre, and android.  You don't need to sign up, but if you want to search you gotta sign up.

I just learned how to take screenshots today.   O0
