Lucky for you! You're spared from the feelings of spontaneous beauty and depression at the same time. It's crazy living here in the northern hemisphere where tree canopies changes there colors in Autumn.

The fruit is called kumquat...Fili pinos love to add this fruit to some of their dishes...

LOL my dad has two 4 feet trees of them fruits in the front yard! He says they are precious to him but if you asked me, I don't really care for them as much. Miniature oranges I call them.

CA with water drought and not enough rain.......... The season is not as beautiful with leaves everywhere or colors.......
My dead backyard growing out weeds from the rain we had on Friday and Sunday. Probably just 20-30 min of slightly rain and sun is back out in the afternoon..... .

Finally today will be the 1st day my kids will be riding the bus home but we'll see how it go because if they don't like it back to picking them up from school. Its the street behind my backyard or walk/bike path but we still have to walk around.......

New home constructions but probably delayed...... Don't know if it is going to be the same builder as most empty lots that stop construction seem to be all new builder and home designs even if it just 10-20 homes.

Drove around for a while since my grade school kids was out early last week because of parent conference. From there head straight to pick up my daughter from school because she get out early after 4 classes but school was on locked down that day. A shooting took place up the road. We decide to drive to see the new church, etc. and head home.

This is why leaving the Midwest is such a hard thing for me....its the beauty that mother nature brings upon us each season that we can't find it elsewhere in this country.

Nice! I almost didn't want to deco this year. I donated my tree 2 yr ago and didn't have one last year. It was too big and always in my living room. This year I got a pencil tree from Michaels and it work for the corner near the fireplace. Doesn't take up too much space and perfect for the family room for the 1st time.

The few days of nature rain that we had earlier helped a lot.
I woke up this morning seeing much brighter colors of leaves. We got home almost midnight last night after the funeral. My husband called in, the younger kids stay home and only oldest daughter went to school. I told her to stay home but she want to go to school.

Trouble, im wondering if it was you that put up all those decorations..
It reminds me of a story at work 2 years ago.
All the girls wanted to decorate the office.
The guys could care less.
Us guys knew if you put things up you gotta put them back up later, thats alot of work! And we knew the girls werent going to put it up and clean up. We told them if yalls wanna do it, you do it yourselves and clean it up.
Anyways the girls decorated and low and behold, they didnt clean up afterwards..th ose decorations was still up in february even when the boss told them to take it down after the new years!!
We had to to constantly tell them to put it up and eventually help them!
Females!!! Thats all i gotta sat. Holloween rolled around, we shut that down quick, they wanted to make a haunted hallway...nope! Aint happening, we reminded them of the xmas thing.
People can argue all they want that they gotta make the office festive and not dreary etc etc ..
But its your work place...cheeze z! Ill be honest, who the f.uck cares. It aint your house! Its where you come to work!
People be acting like its thier home!

thePoster, there is nothing wrong with decorating your workspace (if your employer allows it and within reason) but you should/do have to clean up after yourself. ;D At times, work is almost like a second home. Think of how much time is spent there....so if possible, making it more comfortable for yourself seems practical and sensible....bu t that's just my opinion. :P

I did! The papaya salad definitely was spicy, if that's all you're eating. ;D They had a mild and a spicy papaya eating contest too but I didn't have a chance to watch those.
