And even if the drought is over, doesn't mean fire can't occur...

I prefer the FL heat over CA heat.
Hopefully, I can retire in FL.

You've lived in Cali, you should know already. People can say that there's no drought but Cali was and will always be a DESERT state. Grass are usually brown and dry like what you saw in the photos. They're ripped for fire. I must say that this year, Cali received much more rainfall than it has but that's not enough to stop the sun from baking it dry.
