Even though I go to San Francisco all the time for decades now and I’m often in the downtown and surrounding areas I’ve never visited Westfield Mall til last week. Also, even though I’ve heard of the name Bloomingdale’s and I know that it’s some kind of department store I know almost next to nothing about it. I thought it’s just some place like Kohl’s, JC Penney, or Macy’s. While I was in Westfield I thought I give Bloomingdale’s a visit.

First of all, the Bloomingdale’s location in San Francisco is huge with 6 floors. While in there, I thought of getting some shirts and pants so I went into the men’s section. As I look through some of the dressed shirts I almost choked. Almost all of the dressed shirts are like $300 a piece. They also have a a lot of t-shirts on the racks as well. A plain white t-shirt that probably costs at most $5 with the letters APC on it costs $115. I almost picked my boogers out of my nose and made a design on the shirt.

No mass protests after Honolulu police shoot, kill Black man

Honolulu police shot and killed Lindani Myeni, a Black man, three months after he moved to Hawaii with his wife, believing it would be safer place to raise their two Black children

Judging by his name, he’s an African black...not these ghetto American blacks that’s why there’s no protest. It seems like these ghetto American blacks hates African blacks just as much as white people and the police.

I was in San Francisco last week and I was dying for some good pho...but it seems like all the best pho places are in the Tenderloin District. My favorite pho place in San Francisco is pretty much in the heart of the Tenderloin by O’Farrell and Jones. Whenever I have friends and relatives out of state visiting and we go to San Francisco I always want to take them for pho in the Tenderloin...b ut I’m afraid of taking them there because some of them might get traumatized by what they see, especially the women.

General Discussion / Re: Wow!!! St. Paul is even hotter than Merced?
« on: June 05, 2021, 10:37:15 AM »
Humidity in the mid-west and south is no joke as well as the east coast to some degree. Been to all 50 states and places with high humidity is just no good IMO.

Sure, it can get humid in San Francisco too but the temps are much cooler due to the marine layer and breeze.

Talk about San Francisco, from what I learned from a Geography class back in college, it is said that there is no place in the world that has (beautiful) weathers like the coast of California (maybe except for some areas in the Mediterranean)...and San Francisco is the most unique of all.

I was just in San Francisco 4 days ago and the high was like 65 degrees when Merced was like 102 degrees. While in Merced my AC is on 24/7...I turned the heater on in my hotel room for a little while at night in San Francisco. I mean it’s not cold or anything but since I’m paying for the room might as well take advantage of it and have just the perfect temperature. Keep in mind that San Francisco is only a 2 hour drive from Merced.

While in San Francisco I also jogged on the Golden Gate Bridge in the morning heading to Sausalito. It’s interesting because Sausalito is only 7 miles away from San Francisco (road and trail miles is around 9 to 12 miles) and temperature-wise there is not much difference between the temperature in San Francisco and Sausalito but a 65 degrees in San Francisco can feel different...ev en very different from a 65 degrees in Sausalito just like an 85 degrees in St. Paul is completely different from an 85 degrees in Merced.

Right now at 8:40 it’s already 80 degrees in St. Paul while at the same time it will be 71 degrees in Merced. Today St. Paul will have a high of 99 degrees while in Merced it will be 95 degrees. The low in St. Paul drops to 76 degrees while it will drop to 57 degrees in Merced. At 76 degrees in St. Paul it’s still awful.

How do you even  survive in 99 degrees outside in St. Paul? At 80 degrees it’s already torture. While at 90 degrees in Merced I could still play sports outside fine. At 90 degrees in St. Paul it’s hard for me to breath just walking outside for just a few minutes.

Even to this day many homes in St. Paul and the Midwest don’t even have an air conditioning unit. I hope not many people will die in this heat in the Midwest like in previous years, especially the elderly.

The thing is it’s even worse. If St. Paul is 97 degrees...that is like Merced being 117 degrees.

I can handle 110 degrees in Merced...but I can’t handle 90 degrees in St. Paul.

General Discussion / Re: Don't Blaming Trump and the GOP.
« on: March 24, 2020, 05:13:37 PM »
Most of the $$ goes to the 1%.  Some of us don’t know numbers and policies.  What happen to the free market the conservatives preached about?  What happen to competition?  Oh when the going gets tough the conservatives will bailout anyone.  Where is your bailout?  I don’t see these policies making you richer?  Oh wait your 401k that all of you use to y’all about it.  It’s decimated by pump and dump by Trump share buyback programs.

I don’t really know what the stimulus plan was all about and I’m not going to pretend like I do. But I have this feeling that if it were to pass the people (which means most of us) that really needed the money will get very little...and those that does not need it, and should even be making charity money contributions themselves, will get a very big piece of the pie.

If Trump and his cronies are involved in a stimulus plan, one has got to be very suspicious.

Reporter, I was thinking that this stimulus package was the Republican Party’s strategy of putting Trump back in the White House again in 2020?

I mean this is a package that if anything it’s something like what the Democratic Party would come up with and approve by the American people that votes Democrats. Because something like this stimulus package would be perceived as socialism to the Republican Party and the morons who supports Trumps.

It's a woman hero the movie is about. That's probably why it doesn't get you.

Oh no not at all. If Hammer Girl (Julie Estelle from The Raid 2) has a martial arts movie out I’ll be the first in line. She is amazing on “The Raid” and “The Night Comes For Us.” I heard she’s going to have her own solo martial arts movies. If the people of “The Raid” are doing it it should be a hell of a movie.

I also very much enjoyed the “Resident Evil” franchise with Milla Jovovich and the “Underworld” franchise with Kate Beckinsale as well just to name a few.

One of my favorite superhero shows is “Jessica Jones” with Krysten Ritter on Netflix.

If it wasn't for Liu Yifei and Doua Moua, I wouldn't even bother watching "Mulan."

For some reason I’m not excited about Mulan at all just like I don’t give a shit about those Star War movies. I’m very surprised Mulan has so many big stars in it including Jet Li and Donnie Yen...and also Jason Scott Lee.

29
It's all Chinese-owned now.  And the Chinese love Donnie Yen.

I think that’s an understatement . Donnie Yen is universally loved by all race and nationality. That’s why I’m just so confused that it’s release was so limited. And I think only AMC theaters release Ip Man 4. The theater I’m on my way now to is AMC Metreon 16 in San Francisco, supposedly one of the finest theaters in the country.

"Ip Man 4" is cool. We have a Chinese-owned AMC theater just 10 miles from my place. I go there to see the series 3 times each.

Remember last time I told you we should go to China just to see Jackie Chan and you would have your chance at the Mousuo ladies? Well, I would gone that far just to see "Mulan" if it's played only in Beijing.
But, of course, she's coming here in March.

Reporter you know I was so pissed off. I waited for Ip Man 4 for years and then only to find out that it does not even  play in my city. As for Mulan, it’s a Hollywood blockbuster so it will be played in every single theater in the U.S. just like “Rise of Skywalker”.

And if I’m not mistaken aren’t all AMC theaters owned by the Chinese or they at least have majority ownership?
