I don't even trust those who claim to be gays or lesbiens.

If a lesbien hangs around a gay, watch what Cupid
will do on them. All religious beliefs overturned in the night.

I say try facetiming as a first meet-up and even for the next few meet-ups.

I'm not fond of dating, either. It does cost a lot in two ways: if you go cheap, it costs  your
reputation; if you go expensive,  it costs the bank account.

In the final days of WW II, Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German Lutheran pastor was hung in prison a few weeks before the German surrender. It was one of Hitler's final order as his empire was crumbling. That is because Dietrich Bonhoeffer fought the Nazi as a spy for the allies. He didn't do it for money or the excitement of being a spy, but he didn't want to be stupid and simply confirm to Nazism and watch the suffering of so many people in the evil.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was already in the US in 1939 to teach. He concluded that he could not remain in the US while his country was in a moral crisis.  He knew going back would mean his death. He was a great humanitarian hero of WW II.

He defines Stupidity as follow:

1. Outsourcing our critical thinking to a 3rd party (someone's random teaching or even anger)
2. Willful ignorance (not taking steps to resolving ignorance)
3. Conformity (to the energy and thinking of others)

Which one does this fall under: knowing one's death is assured and yet still pursuing that path?

I was reading Mitch Albom's book Tuesdays with Morrie and I came across the most wonderful message for marriage that I want to share. This from Morrie for Love and Marriage.

1. If you don't respect the other person, you're gonna have a lot of trouble
2. If you don't know how to compromise, you're gonna be in a lot of trouble
3. If you can't talk openly about what goes on between you two, you're gonna have a lot of trouble
4. If you don't have a set of common values in life and the biggest of those values is your belief in the importance of your marriage, you're gonna be in a lot of trouble

If you get married, it's already a lot of trouble.

What you said can be interpreted in a couple of different ways. Feel free to elaborate if you feel like it.  :)

When I talk about solitude, I don't mean checking out women.  I truly mean
being alone and fishing on my own.

I've fished in MN, OK, KS, and even PA, but never
WI before.

I didn't know Johnson was a Chinese last name.

Yasmi used to have a stand there. I wonder if she still does.

When I was there years ago, I saw her and her guy at the
deli stands. My dreaming-of Thai girl said Yasmi had a stand behind those walls.

She thought they mix the rice with grape kool-aid. The grape kool-aid and bbq chicken are stereotypes for Kaydoo. Lol

Oh. That's new to me.

But the idea is the same: racism against Blacks in purple sticky rice.

Of course, the Blacks need to learn that purple rice is natural and that the
Hmong delis at Hmong Town Marketplace some times...ok, they might
have used dyes but there is a natural version of that "black" sticky rice.

I try not to use the word "black" in describing that. I use "blood" sticky rice.

A friend of mine went there a few years back and saw a Black chick ordering sticky rice.

The Hmong deli gave her purple sticky rice and she got offended. She felt
it was racist to sell a Black person black/purple rice instead of the white rice.

She threw it away, I heard.

I fish a lot--so much that I've caught two fish that I had caught before in a river (not just a lake but a free-flowing
river).

Just look at how much I love solitude. :2funny: :2funny:

Healey says MA couples shouldn't have to drive far for
medical needs.

Aren't people there now going to run from the state? That
new law is very scary.

I had great hope for Trump since he had been just a money guy and
not a war guy.  But now he goes to war and the war has been causing
lots of price hikes. That  makes me go YIKES!
