Body of missing man recovered from Mississippi River in La Crosse
La Crosse police have identified a body pulled from the Mississippi River Friday morning as the missing boater from November. Joshua Hli Xiong, 27, went missing November 9 while fishing alone near Lock and Dam 7 in Dresbach, Minnesota. Emergency crews received a call at about 8 a.m. Friday from a person near the Riverside Center complex who thought there was a body floating in the water. Xiong’s body was recovered near the Division Street boat landing, near Division and Front Streets. Sgt. Rank told News 8 it's too early in the investigation to know whether there was any indication of foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning.
