So the sources were correct, Wade took the two years contract of $47.5 million with the Bulls. Can you blame him, it is about money after all for some players.

Aging player. Proven player. The League pays their vets. Miami knew Wade would ask for a pretty hefty contract at this point in his career. Did the Bulls just acquire an aging wonder or did they get a solid vet? We'll see this coming NBA season.

The commissioner has not said much with all these transactions, normally we would hear if there would be a block or approval. I guess we are going to have only maybe five solid, great teams and the rest of the NBA teams will just be sorry.

The League may suffer. Without parity it'll be feast or famine. Top 8 teams will be 60+ win teams while the next 8 may be .500 at best.

Debate Central / Re: Breaking down the Dylan Yang case...

Ray of light, I suppose. I'm surprised this comment isn't mentioned in regards to Dylan's case. Is it cause enough to ask for a mistrial? That's the impression I get from his lawyer's own words.

http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/story/news/2016/05/13/dylan-yang-lawyer-hopes-retrial/84276916/

Excerpt-

Kronenwetter, who had represented Yang since March 2015, said Thursday he could not comment on the specific reasons for the change of attorneys. Yang's family "hired another attorney. That's all I can say," Kronenwetter said. However, he said he hoped that his performance would be closely scrutinized and found ineffective because that could "overturn the conviction and get a new trial for Dylan. ... I still, 100 percent, to this day, believe in Dylan's innocence. I believe his actions were in self defense."

The Game Room / Re: Arcade Cabinet Build
« on: June 29, 2016, 02:35:55 PM »
the new pi has built in wifi. i have the pi 2 with a wifi usb. you don't really need wifi for an arcade build, just ssh into the pi to download/upload as needed.

bought the cabinet from craigslist, it came with the x-arcade dual joystick and pi for $150. so def buy a used cabinet, also reused an old computer to save you money. the x-arcade joystick is selling online from $125-$150, that's if you want a pre-build joystick, otherwise you can buy buttons/joystick kit for less.

i got the marquee printed from a local sign shop. price for 24"x17" is $20-$30. i'm still working on the side art and bezel. i got a quote for one 136"x70" side art at $100/piece.

as you can see, it can get pretty expensive. not including time/labor. the hardest part is configuring the joystick. there are some great youtube vids for this step, but still requires a few hours of configuring.

i'm estimating the total cost would be $500-$700 to finish. you gain some appreciation for this kind of hobby and understand why arcade cabinets are sold for thousands of $$. it's a fun hobby, something i've always wanted to do.

Thanks for the info. There's just something about the older arcade cabinets. Can't remember how many quarters were chewed up playing Raiden and other shmups.

Dwayne Wade is considering leaving Miami. Could he be reuniting with James? Hmmmm.

In Cleveland so the rumor goes.

Any study can show you what ever you want.

Oh, delicious irony.

I saw a few KKK documentary.  It always seem that they live in mobile home.

That leads me to the next question.  Are they the class of Americans that felt left behind and feel like the minorities have robbed them of the American dreams?  So, racism is really an economical issue?

This is a great question. I wonder if any studies have been done to show any correlation?

That will definitely be a factor, glamorous life and fame. Melo wants him in NY and he's already saying he will see.

Intriguing. IF Rose does pan out in NY and Melo and Prozingis benefit from it, adding KD to NY may be like adding KD to GSW. A 4-headed beast is harder to feed than the typical 3-headed variety.

Go to the East. The road to a 'ship might be easier. One team I'm surprised isn't in the KD hunt is Toronto. Lowry, DeRozan and KD with supporting cast. They gave LBJ a scare with their current roster. I understand Toronto isn't as glamorous as say GSW and Miami. But who knows. The new cap will allow more players to max out.

This should be the main focus of all his supporters. Not the self defense. Not the Castle Doctrine. And not even the bullying.

So it wasn't a rumor after all. Guess Jimmy stays in Chicago.
