As it goes, that the stock market is also driven by activity.  The thing that brokers do often to drive that is put forth buy and sells....even if it's duplicated.  It drives the activity and the settlement side has to scramble to match that.  On the flipside...no one can just falsely put up a $1 mil buy when there aren't enough stocks on market for that.  So you can't just drive false activity in that manner to drive up the stock price.

It's when you have small traders...unde r the large brokerage, when then can leverage those stocks...as in options traders....der ivatives....I forget how things works.

Commission fees were, never a requirement.  It was kind of a tactic to force traders to trade in volumes as the commission fee was the same regardless.  In today's world, the target customers/traders has become much more diverse.  The trades...and new methods are growing everyday.

Last year to be exact
I even say, “just a matter of time, till other follow ”

Now you got TD and etrade follow suit
Can we see big daddy vanguard and fidelity follow next???

This is good for POOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO INVEST

$100 stock+ $8 trading fee= you already down 8%
And another 8% when you sell

Hard to come back from that

I guess the information was too juicy and internet deleted it...but there's no trick, no gimmick.  It's standard proven income/wealth producing strategy that most will never do.  The word is simply live below your means and build your savings/nest egg.  The most important trick is, real truth...It takes money to make money.

Bro

You gotta be more specific
Just putting your money in a “saving account”
Is like the worst idea
Inflation will eat up your money

I get bash for saying 0.01% saving accounts is baddd
There bank that offer 2.00%

I focus on ETF and index fund
Check out that “one lazy man portifolo fund thread”
$Fzrox

You own pretty the whole market
No stock picking
Diversificatio n
No fee
These fund gives a stead 10%++ in the long run

Actually none of that matters...it's all about emotions.  People who are easily swayed by their emotions, trading stocks and screwing it up for everyone else.

It only takes one person to sell off their stocks to drive the stock price down.  I mean one person who has millions of shares and millions more of stock $$$.

Now that same person just has to buy the stocks back like at the end of the day and rake in the profits.  It's easy for them to do it, if they got $$$.  However in the open market...it doesn't always work that way.  Someone else might want to buy those stocks and the original seller is then screwed over by simple market correction.

No one can buy or sell any faster than a person who is putting that trade up.  It's still a person who must execute that trade on the brokerage side.  For example ten people wants to buy, but there is only one person working on the brokerage.  You have to wait your turn.  No matter how fast a computer/AI is...they still wait for their turn.  AI's don't know fake news any more than real news.

bro, im the only one in here who is active trading
it don't work like that
if someone is selling millions of share
they have to report it to the SEC first

it got regulation bro
can't be doing that
the SEC going be under your ass

RULE 10b5-1
13G

Beneficial ownership reports
If your company has registered a class of its equity securities under the Exchange Act, shareholders who acquire more than 5% of the outstanding shares of that class must file beneficial owner reports on Schedule 13D or 13G until their holdings drop below 5%. These filings contain background information about the shareholders who file them as well as their investment intentions, providing investors and the company with information about accumulations of securities that may potentially change or influence company management and policies.

TD and Etrade changes their pricing.  I'm day trading on e-trade and their pricing changed the beginning of this month.  The friction is 1% of your trade and at most $5.  That's pretty amazing and so now I can trade more, trade less sizer to minimize the risk, and keep more in my pocket.

This is all thanks to Robinhood creating the biggest competition ever!  I'm loving it.

Temporally, the market is zero-sum from trade to trade, but holistically, the market is cyclical and evolutionary.  One might say life is zero-sum too because an animal has to die for you to thrive, but we all know we all die to feed each other.  The conservation of energy holds true, nothing is created or destroyed...it is merely changing (evolving) from a form to another.  So by looking at it this way it doesn't matter.  Now if you are thinking about people's feeling, then man, that's a deep loaded question because our mere existence causes suffering to the nth level.  And so, the buddha is right...to live is to suffer, and the purpose of living is to become enlightened.

HR has good advice for new people to the market...buy ETF/mutual funds.  Just know the market is very hot...perhaps overheated.  NASDAQ definitely seems that way.  A lot of this is predicated on the China deal, Fed rates, and consumer confidence.

HR has good advice for new people to the market...buy ETF/mutual funds.  Just know the market is very hot...perhaps overheated.  NASDAQ definitely seems that way.  A lot of this is predicated on the China deal, Fed rates, and consumer confidence.

NASDAQ Is overbought
Matter fact, everything is
We need a correction soon

That’s why im trying to help yall

If you really want to "help" others get "rich", shouldn't you just give them the winning lottery numbers since you're the "hmong Nostradamus and is always right"?  ???

Hahaha that is right. Hmongrock what are the winning lottery numbers man. Although there's that good old saying...Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime....if there was a successful person to teach me how to become rich, I would want to be that person's pupil. I always keep up with Warren Buffett but I'm just a mere person that will never be at his level and be able to have a drink with him...drink as in coca cola

Don't mean to call you out, but if you truly believe a correction is coming, shouldn't you throw caution out there when you are actively recommending people to throw money into index when they are overpriced?  Just saying...some kid might listen to you and then see a 25% correction and feel bad about spending 2 years to be at 0% gain...anyways, cash is trash...everyo ne is hedging and playing the market until the FED starts to charge interest.

And "3 more years" when you can just win the lotto now and be a "big fish" since you're the "hmong Nostradamus and is always right"?  ???
