FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) --
Detectives say they had been monitoring the activity of the seven women over several weeks.
Investigators say all the women face prostitution charges, but one of them was also charged with pandering a girl under the age of 18. Authorities also say a 14-year old girl, a 15-year old girl, and a 17-year old girl were also arrested in the operation.
Authorities said the women arrested were offered services such as counseling and support from the Merced County Human Services Agency. Each of the juveniles contacted in these cases were removed from the environment and offered similar services before being returned to their guardians.

In this case, those guys did wrong. In general, as long as no one is forced to trade sex for money, I'm ok with it. Prostitution is the "oldest profession" and will be around for a long time to come legal or not so it makes more sense legalizing it and regulate it and in return, less health and well being issues and more public resouces.

Why do women or men resort to selling their bodies for $$$. Why can't they just go and work at 9-5 jobs like everyone else.
Preference, needs, etc....In realilty, many sell their bodies for $$$ including those in 9-5 jobs...i.e., promotion, money, status, etc.

I would also like to ask why do women do porn and take naked pictures of their ass and vagina for the world to see? The idea of having sex on camera for the world to see is still crazy for me even today. So how do these girls do it? And what's really disturbing about it is some of them actually act like they are proud of what they're doing.
For me, porn is degrading especially for the women.

Some women do really like it and are proud of what they have. Again, goes back to that personal preference factor. And it doesn't have to be porn or a paid service. Everyday people do it including the rich like celebrities... as long as it's not forced, I don't have an issue with it...

We do..its called being a husband and wife..we work 9-5 then we give up all that $$$ and sell our bodies to each other..lol

Why work for $9/hr job, 9 - 5. When you can make $50 or more per client under 30mins and free of tax? In this country, people have the choice to choose what they want to do for a living. It isn't like Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, or some other 3rd world country where they don't have opportunities. I don't have to understand these people but they have their reasons whether it's breaking the law or not. Legalizing it so Uncle Sam can pimp these girls? That's even worst; it's like having parents pimping their own daughter for sex. Is that what parents should do?

Lyn knows everyone relies on money to buy food and clothes to survive but Lyn will never sell herself to pleasure someone just for the sake of earning money. If money is what Lyn desire, working part-time like Lyn do now is the best choice until Lyn is able to build more experience and move on to better work position. Lyn hope Ms. Lisa Thao recover from this and turn her life around for the better.
