Australian woman dies while trying to take photo at notorious Australian ‘selfie’ spot posing for the picture

Police say the mother climbed past safety barriers to pose on a "picture perfect rock" for a photo before falling off the cliff. The tour guide, Graham Wood, reportedly warned visitors of the cliff's dangers only 30 minutes prior to her death.

Nevada's legal brothels remain closed during pandemic, so this sex worker is suing: 'Blatant discrimination'

With states and cities across the country forming a patchwork of partial shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there’s one state that’s in a league of its own when it comes to the battle over shuttered businesses: Nevada, where brothels are legal but have been ordered closed since March 17, despite the reopening of other “close contact” business, including spas, salons and massage parlors. In response to what she sees as an “arbitrary” decision that has left legal sex workers “financially devastated,” Alice Little, an employee at the Moonlite BunnyRanch in Mound House, Nev., who’s considered the top-earning legal sex worker in the U.S., filed a complaint and motion for a preliminary injunction against Nevada’s Gov. Steve Sisolak in the Third Judicial District Court in Lyon County. The lawsuit cites unstated damages and seeks the right for her and other licensed prostitutes to “ply their legal trade” at home or other private locations. The suit alleges that Sisolak has, “without any rational basis, decided to single out brothels.”

It’s disgusting to know that there are people like that out there. There are truly starving families out there, help them out instead of taking advantage of it.

"Families marry off daughters to ease finances amid COVID-19"

The man first caught a glimpse of Marie Kamara as she ran with her friends past his house near the village primary school. Soon after, he proposed to the fifth-grader.

“I’m going to school now. I don’t want to get married and stay in the house,” she told him.

But the pressures of a global pandemic on this remote corner of Sierra Leone were greater than the wishes of a schoolgirl. Nearby mining operations had slowed with the global economy. Business fell off at her stepfather’s tailoring shop, where outfits he had sewn now gathered dust. The family needed money.

Her suitor was a small-scale miner in his mid-20s, but his parents could provide rice for Marie’s four younger sisters and access to their watering hole. They could pay cash.

Before long, Marie was seated on a floor mat in a new dress as his family presented hers with 500,000 leones ($50) inside a calabash bowl along with the traditional kola nut.

“The day they paid for me was on a Friday and then I went to his house to stay,” she says flatly, adding that at least now she gets to eat something twice a day.

UFC facing class action lawsuit worth up to $5 billion after fighters score legal victory

The UFC’s roughest fight might be in court over the next few years.

A group of former UFC fighters suing the promotion scored a key legal victory on Thursday when federal judge Richard Boulware said he would grant their lawsuit class-action status, according Kevin Draper of The New York Times.

The antitrust lawsuit dates all the way back to 2014, initially filed by Cung Le Jon Fitch and Nate Quarry against the UFC’s parent company. The lawsuit claims the UFC has abused its monopoly power in the MMA labor market, suppressing fighter wages.

While competitors remain like Bellator and the PFL, other larger competitors like Strikeforce, Pride and WEC have been bought out and absorbed by the UFC.

Tom Brady Loving the Florida Sun: ‘You Won't Catch Me Dead Living in the Northeast'
Even Brady's new offensive coordinator, Byron Leftwich, discussed how much the 43-year-old QB was enjoying the warmth.

"I was a native Californian for a long time in my life, went away from it for about 25 years, and you won't catch me dead living in the Northeast anymore. I'm loving the warm weather, and it's been a great feeling."

The quote makes total sense, considering Brady reportedly didn't warm to the possibility of playing in Chicago (pun definitely intended) when the Bears showed some interest over the offseason, narrowing his choices to Tampa and Los Angeles -- both warm-weather destinations.
