ASK ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU NEED HELP
IVE BEEN PLAYING THIS WHITE MAN GAME FOR A LONG TIME
I question if you really know...maybe just copy some famous trader someone. Bernie.
So,
Basically you really don't know about actual stock trading. Except for what the broker is telling you - making you believe you know. okay. Just google it, it's out there on the internet. Cash never settles in your account, bud. It's cash reserves. Well if the broker is telling you your cash settles - again making you believe them. Maybe there's a cash settlement department in the brokerage firm. Maybe that's why there's account managers, fund managers, cash manager, portfolio manager, etc.,.. commission manager, money manager, team manager, trade manager, etc.,...all those people need their cut from your account.
That's why paper trading or virtual trading is all fake. In the real world, once you buy the car - you have to take it out of the lot. No one else can buy that car. The real world stock market responds. If there's no car on the lot for you to buy, they can't sell you one. Well there's a trick, they can sell you, but now they have to go find a car to buy from. And when they fail....guess what? - Your trade didn't settle. That's what T+X settlements is all there for. Forgive me if I don't remember all the trading lingo anymore.
Since you have a brokerage account...the broker still has to T+X settle the stocks and securities. All you're seeing is a brokerage reformatted screen. That's what the broker is only telling you. The broker will never lose - on your stock trading. Cuz they will always make sure that they're on the positive. Unless they totally screw up to fail and that does happens.
Just letting you know, for real. Cuz in the real world, that broker could sell that car to three different people and they will take the offer that makes them the most money. The other two people, well depending on your broker is either gonna try to fulfill that trade or fail to settle it. Nothing settles instantly in the real world of trade. Only in the fake virtual world of trade and in movies.
