All around me, the world is beautiful
Not because the scenery is gorgeous
But because there is joy in my heart
If I could bottle this love inside of me
I would gladly give it away for free
Love, no matter how much you give
Is nothing if the other person does not accept it
So, go on, pick up your love
Yes, that one on the ground
The one that the other person refuse to take
Love, no matter who it comes from
It is still love and it feels just as wonderful
Love is one of the most precious thing in the world
So if someone does not deemed your love worthy
Take it back and put it inside your heart
No one has died from loving too much
But people have died from not having enough love
So, today, make a decision
A decision to not waste another ounce of love

Concrete Angel

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace
The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born
Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel
Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late
[Repeat Chorus]
A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot
[Repeat Chorus]

Her parents never took the young girl to church
Never spoke of His Name
Never read her His Word
Two non-believers walkin' lost in this world
Took their baby with them, what a sad little girl
Her Daddy drank all day and Mommy did drugs
Never wanted to play, or give kisses and hugs
She'd watch the TV, and sit there on the couch
While her Mom fell asleep, and her Daddy went out
And the drinking and the fighting just got worse every night
Behind their couch she'd be hiding, oh what a sad little life
And like it always does, the bad just got worse
With every slap and every curse
Until her Daddy, in a drunken rage one night
Used a gun on her Mom, and then took his life
And some people from the city took the girl far away
To a new Mom and a new Dad
Kisses and hugs everyday
Her first day of Sunday school, the teacher walked in
And a small little girl stared at a picture of Him
She said, I know that man there on that cross
I don't know His name, but I know He got off
Cause He was there in my old house
And held me close to His side
As I hid there behind our couch
The night that my parents died

Be it karma or blessings from God
If you have a good soul
And have not sought to harm others
Good things will come your way
So don't be afraid and let go
Of people and things that are slowly killing you inside
Life is short and getting shorter by the day
Take a deep breath and walk away
Hold your head high and smile - come what may

As much as I wish
To remain in this state of bliss
I can see clearly
Through these non-rose colored glasses
That the love in our hearts
And the desire of our loins
Cannot combat the starkness of our reality
So this day forward, we shall let it be
If we are destined for each other
Then one day we will be together
Until then, my Love, talked care of my heart
