I saw that. Andy Lau, Matt Damon, The Great Wall and monsters. It's like 47 Ronin meets The Last Samurai meets Pacific Rim set in early century China.
-
My kind of a movie. O0

what's a white man doing in ancient china? is there an asian in game of throne?
-
not really a matt damon fan, when i saw the title i thought it was the mongolians trying to break into the great wall but when i saw the trailer about monsters attacking it got me curious, something new for a change so im looking forward to it

you never heard of the silk road :idiot2:

Then that means there should be Asian in Game of Throne :knuppel2: :knuppel2:
It's all about the big draw... same crap as 47 Ronin. An Asian actor will never be a lead in any Hollywood movie... They will always share the lead with an American co-star.

the silk road is actual true events. GOT Is fictional with dragons. learn the difference. :idiot2:

I know there's some controversy about White actors taking away POC roles and I sympathize but secretly I'm excited about this movie!!

Coming February 17th.

Don't you know they love white people in China?

Just creativity. What are monsters doing on the Great Wall? There were not actual monsters like these dinosaurs or whatever they are. Just creative works.

Sounds like you can't discern the difference of a smirk and a smile. This typical film are emasculating men of your colors, since you're too numb to getting bullied, its literal message is 'look gook, white men are the heroes saving yo race n Asian women belongs to us'...not sure how you can still get a hardon for this film. :idiot2:

::)...Actor...not actress :idiot2:.
Doesn't matter, the fact is there are Asian/Minority actors that have also played a role of in a movie that's considered a White person's role so if your view wasn't show narrow and short, you could easily see that too... :idiot2:
-
I have to say i was disappointed in the movie because i thought it would be much more interesting and actually tell the story of the great wall. Its a good thing i watch it on Kodi ;D ;D

Where was Enter the Dragon released first? It's a Hong Kong film not a Hollywood movie...
Jet Li "Romeo Must Die" again... must be paired with stars, Aaliyah, DMX, etc.

Doesn't matter where it was released. It's still a Hollywood movie produced by a major Hollywood film company. If that's the case then other Hollywood movies released abroad are also "not a Hollywood movie" i.e., Iron Man, The Avengers, etc.
Jet Li "Romeo Must Die" again... must be paired with stars, Aaliyah, DMX, etc.
That's not a good argument as Jet Li played the "lead" role in that film. That's like saying Stallone needed to be "pair" with minority actors like Mr. T, and Carl Weathers in Rocky or Vin Diesel needed Donni Yen (another minority) in XXX or Jean Claude Van Damme needed Bolo Yeung in Bloodsport to make them legitimate lead/main characters...
Here's another "Hollywood" film where an Asian actor had the "lead" role and guess what? ...this movie OPENED in the U.S of A!!!!... ;D:

Little background bio on the Asian American actor that got the lead role for the Hollywood film above:
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California, United States
Date of Birth: November 19, 1966
Jason Scott Lee is an American actor and martial artist. His parents both have Chinese surnames, “Lee” and “Ching”.
-
^ I forgot DMX was in the film. Small cameo-like role.
Don't tell that to Hung Low as he probably thought DMX got the "lead" role and Jet Li was just playing a supporting role... ;D
What's funny is Aliyah and DMX are also minorities, not White... ;D

Finally made it to the big screen to watch it last night.

Lots of eye candy but story was a bit weak...no character development...

True.
And, yes, Commander Lin is hot! lol

I had to pick between that or ghost in the shell. The hot lady won. ;)

You have chosen wisely.

I got bored after the first few scenes. There's only so many times they can flash her body before you get used to seeing it. ;D

Commander Lin is better.

Ta ma da. But that's just my opinion.

Sorry I was rushing and didn't remember to invite people.
I'm inviting you to go watch "Wonder Woman" with me when it comes out. Not the opening night but the week after. I hate long lines.
Deal? Let me know on here or via PM.
Did I hear someone say eye qhob noom? Lmao. I vanna see eye candy. The preview looked goood, can not wait to see it. Reporter, you should have put out and invite. I might have gone with you. Lol

Are you kidding me? It was produced by Bruce Lee and Raymond Chow...paired with a newly formed company by Fred Weintraub. It was not major Hollywood Film company.

Hmmm... let's see, a story about Bruce Lee. What could they possibly used as a actor for that... maybe an Asian actor perhaps? It doesn't take a genius to use an Asian actor to play a real life Asian person.

Sure. PM me your real name so I can order the ticket in that name.
As French citizen, you can come to the U.S. for at least 30 days without needing a visa or going through any vetting process. If the Concorde was still around, you could have just flown straight from Paris to New York for the movie over lunch time and go back on the same afternoon. (That's my favorite time for outing, by the way.)
Or the laternative is I come there and we go watch it in French in Paris. French adds even more flavor to Gal Gadot's speech sounds.
Koj nyob twg maj? Kuv nyob puag tim favkis laiv. Buy me plane ticket then mus tau mas.

Anna and the King. Yul Brynner played the King of Siam
Ralph Fiennes playing Michael Jackson. Fiennes is White.
West Side Story. The lead part was for a female of Puerto Rican background, played by Natalie Wood.
This isn't an argument for or against. Just examples to think about.

This movie sucks. I watched 30 minutes of it and had to fast forward the rest of the movie every 10 minutes. The power ranger outfits, dinosaurs, gun powder, magnet, all of it was stupid lol ;D
