Yes politicians are mostly self interest first and this is why I don't have high hopes for what they can do for me but rather depend on myself to take care of my own business/needs.  Doesn't matter the party, the Pres. in the White House, at the end of the day I am responsible for me.   As the late JFK said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, Ask what you can do for your country.." something like that..

That's more realistic saying...
