2-n-1 Laptops these days.
« on: February 06, 2017, 05:55:28 PM »
Maybe I am just old now, but I really do not like the 2-n-1 laptops that are convertible into tablets. If I wanna use a tablet, then I will use a tablet and I really do not care for touchscreen on my computer or even 4k. I can't seem to find any regular normal laptop with the solid state drive. Do they not come in that combo? I recently settled on the Lenovo Yoga 710, but am going to return it. I like the mac laptops but I need windows.  :-\

I have one and I don't use it in tablet mode at all.  In fact, I disable the touch screen.  The only time tablet mode is useful is when I let me cat play with video of mice on the screen.

touch screen adds more weight to the laptop.  If i had gotten the non tablet version, the laptop would be less than 2lbs.

Touch screen offers ergonomic help if you use laptop a lot in your work.  I am glad for it.  Using the mouse or touchpad or thumb-buttons too much kills the hand.
