Man... really? YOutuber's really actually breaks down?
« on: August 01, 2017, 10:39:02 PM »
I mean.. for most, their videos don't even last long...

Like 10-15 mins....

I've watched this guy a lot when I need help on my car... and he really does a real good job of helping explain things...

But he's having a break down too...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phfKqS4HmdU

I remember when ryan nigahiga had a break down too..

But dang... I guess it's a real thing...

I wonder if I would ever have a break down if I was ever a youtuber....

I went through all 15k posts and those 2 quotes I found were the only ones so I guess that would make it "everytime".  Feel free to go through all 15k posts and verify by quoting them all.  You need to quote them all to verifying prove "everytime".   Please verify that Im wrong.

If there is a big need in your niche and you are constantly producing content you will absolutely make money.

While you are passionate about your niche you must also ensure there are problems to solve and money to make.

Not all niche are profitable. If you pick the wrong niche you're screw.

Maybe that's what happen to the guy's case? I don't know. I mean he has almost 1 million subscriber there is no way he can't make money. LOL.  :2funny:

Well I remember when me and my brother was installing my intake manifold on the teggie...

And next thing I heard was ETCG's voice and I said "is that eric the car guy?"  and my brother was like "yeah"...

We both watch it seems...

But he needs another avenue of revenue as well....

Like I don't see how it takes so long and how it's draining for them to produce content...

Perhaps one day I'll try out being a youtuber for a year... see if I break down or not have time etc etc...

Makeup, cars, reaction video's, funnie stuff, seems to me what gets you a lot of hits.

It helps if you're a girl with a big chest too.

I mean look at mink

There are many things that you can tap into, but from what I have seen and experience as a marketer myself, the best results are from massive/mainstream niches. These are the ones with big need and the most frustration.

The problem with funny and reaction stuff is that they are non targeted audience.

Sure, you can grow a fan base into the hundred thousands off of funny stuff on Youtube, but they won't make you a lot of money.

Targeted audience = More Money.

From all the information he posted in the description, sounds like these videos "weren't paying the bills" anymore. He even setup a Patreon account to give "something back to his supporters". I'd imagine it started to feel like he was working for free. Looks like he's looking for a more efficient way to monetize his tutorial videos, which I would too if I were in his shoes.

The problem with making funny videos like that, is that most of your audience are not buyers. These are people who just want entertainment and laughter.

They're watching your videos and then flipping to the next. You'll only get pay for the views which isn't much unless your videos go viral and become famous.

They won't make you money bro.

Alot of people who does funny shit are doing it for the LULZ. They have no idea about monetization.

Well...  a million views is about a thousand dollars.

I'm just looking for views...

And anyways... If you look at a lot of those Car guy's video's, the young ones... they do more than make video's, they eventually build a fan base and sell t-shirts and stickers...

A few bucks here and there to a million base fan.. that's a nice little piece of change.

I just need a cute ditzy girl who likes to wear tight clothing and feature her in all the vids... it's hits for sure.

People like watching vlogs...even if you vlog about stupid stuff or stuff that isn't even really cool.  I could vlog about my day and some one would watch it.

If you did a video about two snails racing... I bet at least 100 person would watch it.. and you give them names and build up a hype.. I bet people would watch it on the grand racing day.

You could do a video about what a drone could lift... people would watch it..

Look at this video.. I remember when I first saw it, I thought it was goofey and crummy as heck.. and now it's got over

Sh.t civic owners say...

5 mil hits..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9x74SlY1ik

they made at least 2-3 thousand from that clip.

Dude's actually a cool guy.

He got his own channel now.. but he still get's views...

and a lot of the things they do aren't really like...  special...

If you look at his channel...

Anything with racing and Honda... it gets a lot of views..

I don't know why.. but you put racing and Honda together...it gets hits...

Well except for mine...

500k plus views..there's not even that much hmong fans out there..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb6_1hvV438

what the fuzz... a mil views!?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQRCKSy_aWw

Cheezez!  4 mil views.. that's about 2-3k bucks!(probably 1k of those views are from me because when I need a laugh I go watch this clip of the guy's face, it cracks me up at 1:38)

Well Youtube does not pay the Youtuber based on the views people watch.

They only get pay from the ads that are display before their videos are shown.  Example: Adsense.

So it doesn't matter if they got 20k or 100k views. They aren't displaying ads.
