I was thinking about that today....


50k a year isn't bad... it's not great of course but it's livable...

I probably only got like a good 40 years left....

So...that's only 2 mil...

So if I had 3-5 mil...

I could live the rest of my day's comfortably without working..

I was thinking about this because I was thinking about that hmong lottery girl... and folks was saying she'd probably blow all of that away... 90 mil...

So I started wondering how much mil I'd need to live if I had it in a year...

If I just had 5 mil... I would quit my job and just live it on a budget...

That's 125,000 a year...

There's no way I could spend all of that in a year if I lived smartly...



Now the big thing is...  I just need someway to amass 5 mil.

2.5M * 5% dividend * dividend tax rate 15%  = ~100k.  That's all you need if your goal is 100k.  Adjust for 20 year inflation...th at's about 60k.

If I can stash away 100k again and reinvest that back at 20%-25% return.  I'd be set.
