Only if your dad is a wanted man.

You should grant him the wish.

It’s not a must return for me. Just don’t have a need to return for a visit:

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/world/family-fights-for-information-about-hmong-man-jailed-in-laos-in-2011

The last time Mai Chue Xiong heard from her husband was more than four years ago, when he called her from jail after he was deported from the family's hideout in Bangkok.

Thailand had made a controversial decision in 2009 to stop hosting thousands of Hmongs fleeing persecution in Laos, and her husband, Kha Yang, found himself caught in the cross hairs.

Hmongs have faced retaliation for decades following their recruitment by U.S. militia operations during the '60s and '70s. Although Yang had refugee status, he was still forced back to Laos by the Thai government. He was arrested by Lao police when he arrived because they saw him as a traitor and a leader to more people like him, according to his wife.

Calling her from jail, Yang said he was sure police would kill him.

"I'm not going to survive. If you have a chance, go to a third country," Xiong, who goes by Mrs. Kha Yang, speaking Hmong through a translator, recalled her husband saying. "I want to let you know I'm not going to survive.

Laos welcomes tourists with open arms except some Hmong who will take advantage if you give them the opportunity.

Just like ProudLao said... if your OG is not a criminal you have nothing to fear. I went there and it was fine...

NOTE: road condition are horrible and from what I see... Laos looked like it's just another Chinese satellite country. I saw the Chinese flag flying with the Laos flag at one of airport & a bunch of hotels. Usually you see the country's language first and then the minor language is smaller print but hotels, restaurants, etc etc are mostly Chinese writing with no Laotian writing and it's not even in Chinatown or something like that.

More like Hmong version of a terrorist group taking on Vietnam. Don't forget our Chaofa working for the U.S. who lied to everyone on earth about mass of destruction. It was Israel and U.S. built atomic bombs on Hiroshima, Vietnam + Laos, and Gaza strips. They're the one built weapon of destruction. How hypocritical.  :idiot2: :2funny:

This is the same individual that said his father was fighting for the other side, now his father is fighting for the US. He can’t even keep his story straight.
