use that money for a gym membership...m uch cheaper, no maintenance and space saver, plus you get other perks.  most of the people I know of having a treadmill, uses it for hanging clothes.

What kind of performance are you looking for in a treadmill? If not much preference, Walmart or Target have a few for a reasonable price. I personally like a Bow Flex or Nordic Track but i have a Gold GYM one which is pretty nice and workable for me.

I want to join a gym, but with my schedule and my hobbies I would never have any family time.  At least with a treadmill at home I can get on and put in a few quick miles.

I never made the mistake of buying a treadmill.  After a while it sits in a lonely corner or becomes a coat hanger.  True Story.
