Title: 2008 KTM 990 Suprduke (battery adapter)
Post by: Speedracer on February 29, 2012, 08:01:40 AM
Anyone fitted a battery tender to a KTM990 Superduke? The battery is in such a bad place that fitting a permenant lead is really difficult. Has anyone fitted one? If so, where? Can you make a connection under the seat somewhere by the fuse box? Where does the KTM one connect to?

Thanks all!

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who rides a KTM in here.   :2funny:

Nobody rides a KTM here because they're as reliable an on time Hmong taxi service.

1.) Drill a hole in the battery box.

2.) Insert standard hardware store gromet into hole.
(To prevent the wires from erroding their plastic insulation off.)

3.) Pass the new external charging lead through the hole.

4.) Zip tie the external connector to the underside of the passenger peg.

5.) Spray battery tender conection point with WD-40 or another anti corrosion chemical.
(Don't forget to cap the end.)

6.) Done.

7.) Get your ass out and ride till the chicken strips are gone.
