i'm not doing 50-60+ hour per week...
that is just crazy NO LIFER

 ;D ;D ;D O0 O0 O0

you are on PH as much as me
so i don't know what you are talking about

definitely not pulling 60+hours for sureee

Some of us can afford to. From your daily griping, you do not have that same luxury. The problem is you seem to think everyone has your work ethics. 60 hrs for many is an avg work week. Especially true for your typical salsarymen. And for many in production, 60 hrs a week come with it's own benefits. I regret not working harder while younger.

General Discussion / Re: The MSM desperately tries to defend Brandon...
« on: February 16, 2024, 08:56:18 AM »
The Special Counsel appointed by DOJ Garland which in essence is a stooge of Brandon claimed they can't prosecute Brandon for having classified information - the same charges they went after Trump - because he believed the jury would just brush it off as Brandon being an old man with memory loss - don't know what he was doing. You can read all about Special Counsel Hur's report in google.

After this little titbits came out of the special counsel about Brandon's brain rotting away... MSM and even late night show hosts are coming out defending him...

LATime wrote a piece called "Age Matters - Which is Why Brandon's Age is His Superpower"  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: I guess they mean that he can F*cked up anything he wants and there will be no prosecution because he's no control over his action since he's practically brain dead.

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc etc all coming out with guesses claming that Brandon's sharp, focused, bright... same description from all these guests. It seems like they were given a script on what to say when ask about Brandon's cognitive decline.

Yet, they were quick to point out that Trump's cognitive is in decline "Trump slur during one of his speech" they claimed... but ignored the thousands of time Brandon couldn't put a sentence together or stood at a loss on stage :2funny: :2funny:

 :2funny:

On the other hand, the Evangelicals have been touting Trump as "God's Chosen" for 8 years now  >:D

I'd defintely choose the lesser of two evils.

General Discussion / Re: Paul Harvey's 1965 speech...
« on: February 15, 2024, 12:50:30 PM »
is becoming real...

Paul Harvey: If I were the Devil

"If I were the devil … If I were the Prince of Darkness, I’d want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I’d have a third of its real estate, and four-fifths of its population, but I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree — Thee.  So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first — I’d begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: ‘Do as you please.’

“To the young, I would whisper that ‘The Bible is a myth.’ I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what’s bad is good, and what’s good is ‘square.’ And the old, I would teach to pray, after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington…’

“And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d pedal narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

“If I were the devil I’d soon have families that war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, but neglect to discipline emotions — just let those run wild, until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.

“Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography — soon I could evict God from the courthouse, then from the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.

“If I were the devil I’d take from those who have, and give to those who want until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.

And what do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would caution against extremes and hard work in Patriotism, in moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus, I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were the devil I’d just keep right on doing what he’s doing."

I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be an emperor. That’s not my business. I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone - if possible - Jew, Gentile - black man - white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness - not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost…

The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men - cries out for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.

To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish…

Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you - enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!

In the 17th Chapter of St Luke it is written: “the Kingdom of God is within man” - not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people have the power - the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.

Then - in the name of democracy - let us use that power - let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world - a decent world that will give men a chance to work - that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfil that promise. They never will!

Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people! Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers! in the name of democracy, let us all unite!

Charlie Chaplin, "The Great Dictator"

I don't know what you mean by "titanic expressions"? I get that you tend to mimic and use words and expressions you do not understand entirely but that makes you more George than Jack.

I'm not even mad though. Seeing your threads every day reminds me what happens when individuals stop having aspirations. You keep doing you.

His handlers took him to a Black family and brought fried chickens to eat dinner with them...

Next, he'll be visiting a Mexican family and bringing the tacos... then heading to an Asian family to eat eggrolls and poopoo platter with them  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

I mean... come on, really? You could have brought any other food but you bring 'fried chickens' to a Black family? What's for dessert - Watermelon?
1st, it was 'you ain't Black if you didn't vote for Brandon'... now, fried chickens for blacks. This is as racist as it comes...

They want paper towels!

During a Senate candidate debate in CA: Schitts, Lee & Porter (all Dems) and lone GOP, Garvey gave their views on various topics.

Immigration:

Lone GOP blames Biden for opening the floodgate at the border and Democrat's soft on border crossing. He points to the increase illegal crossing since Brandon took office and the failure of WH to do anything about it.

All Dem candidate blames Trump (calling Trump's 'wall' draconian and cause the influx of illegals/drug/criminals at the border) and GOP governors for sending illegals to sanctuary states/cities. They call for increase in immigration offices so more illegals can be processed  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: Yeah, it's the former Pres fault with the current border crisis. So, these fools expect border states to just take in the illegals and don't send them anywhere? Also noticed that CA, AZ and NM has a 'wall' on their border whereas, TX only have partial wall and mostly fences.

Wages:

Lone GOP says increase in minimum wages will result in increase cost of goods passed unto the consumers. As CA is seeing it with their increased in minimum wages resulting in increase of goods.

Two Dems in favor of increasing minimum wages to $25/hr while a third want up to $50/hr. This is Leftienomic/Demmienomic thinking - increase wages and people can afford goods...  :2funny: :2funny: Where do they think the increased cost for producers/manufacturers/businesses will go to? I bet my life that $50/hr minimum wage will push a Big Mac to $50 and $75 for a meal. Schitts claimed low minimum wages is main cause of people living in the street - what a fool.

They all agree on more affordable housing... but differs on how to go about it. Dems want gov't to fund it while GOP want to lower inflation and reduce housing regulation.

Didn't the Republicans vote against a border bill that they fought to pass?

Fastfood wages in other developed countries are often higher than in the States, yet their food prices are just as low or much lower. Could it be owners passing the cost onto the customers  ::)
