you could use 2x4s and plywood to frame the floor then carpet over. or just pad and carpet over concrete. for framing walls use 2x4s and a heavy duty power tool to drill wood to concrete. build the frame on the ground, lift against concrete wall then drill thru to secure.

i'm renovating a room in the basement to a theater room. building a soffit drywall ceiling and drop down ceiling. my advice is to draw out a floor plan with sq footage to help you get an idea of how much materials are needed. build your frames, run cables and wires where needed then put up the drywall. 1/2" moisture proof drywall or 3/4" and greater for fire rated.

Yeah, that's my plan too. Sectioned off for a home theater room w/bar, bedroom, 1/2bath, laundry room plus storage area. I don't have issue with wall since the frames are already there plus insulation. I'm just worry that if I only use padding and carpet, it might get too cold in winter time.

Just because people are against the life style of LBGTABC or what have you, it does not mean they hate LBGT people.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY:

Hi everyone.  Just wanted to know if anyone on here or if you know anyone that wants to travel to be my traveling partner for this year and every other two years, please do let me know.  That's how i plan to travel around the world - every 2 years.   Two years ago i went to Japan and Laos for the whole month of December.  I had a great time.  The reason i said every 2 years is because i need a year to save up my vacation time then the next year, i used the whole month to travel.

For this year, i'm looking at the dates for Novermber 24th - January 1st.  My vacation request has been approved from my workplace already.  Supposedly, my two sisters and younger brother were going to go with me but they decided not to go due to injury and lost of job.  So, for now, i'm traveling solo.

The places that i wanted to explore are as follow below:

Phuket, Ko Samui, Chiangmai, Thailand
Laos (NON HAI) - visiting KWV TIJ and giving them money and presents.  Once we visit Laos, i have people to show us around so no worries.
Son La & Hanoi, Vietnam

Of course if time permits, there are other places that i wanted to explore and do.

Below are the price of tickets flying out of Los Angeles, California to Beijeing, China and to Bangkok, Thailand for Novermber 24th - January 1st.



On the side note, just remember that this is a traveling adventures and not a dating adventures.

I would love to be your travel partner, but I can't. If only you had ask last year. I went to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia all in month's time. I just used majority of my vacation going to CA this summer and Florida in the early part of this year. Next year, I plan on going to Europe, not Asia.

Yes, I would go with a group instead of solo, you just never know now-a-days. But I wouldn't expect it to be that beautiful.

Anyone finished a basement before?
I just bought a house that has an unfinished basement. It is insulated but it's not been wall up yet. Also, basement floor is bare concrete. I was thinking about using sheetrock that are moisture resistant but I'm not sure what to do with the floor. I've seen where people just stain the concrete, covered it with carpet, and use 2x4 and plywood to create the flooring. If you had finished a basement before, what did you do and how was it?

Cool!  Are you from southern that's why the tree survive?  If you from the north, I like to plan one.

Trust me... they will survive in the North. I know a co-worker that have about a dozen of them and he usually give me a few a years. Our temp here in the Winter can reach -10.

So why ignore the most cosmic beings?  Because the argument becomes stupid. 

Galactus eats worlds.  He can eat an infinite amount of Earths and create a big crisis for DC.  However, Superman can just go around punching Earths 1-616, and Galactus would starve.  But then, everyone dies.  So Death from DC wins.  But then we Marvel's Death too!  Now it is Death vs. Death.  And so on and so on....

All Galctus has to do is force Superman from yellow sun and light gravity... he's done.

You're so full of yourself... Did you somehow went back in time and record the original Hmong green and Hmong white language? No one knows the original Hmong language, let alone Green vs White. Don't make a fool of yourself...

I was oversea and heard this song being played during one of the hmong new year in Thailand.

It's a female singer... and lyrics is about being married to a man that's not man enough or she's embarrassed because he's not like other normal hmong man.

I know it's not much but that's all I can remember...


Anyone have the faintest idea to what this song is?
