NYT writer, Gail Collins: “I know that we aren’t supposed to lecture people about how good their lives are, but it’s weird that the nation doesn’t seem more conscious of how well things are going. … Prices have begun to stabilize or even drop.” What she's is saying is Listen up, all you little people: “Bidenomics” is as good as it gets. You’re just going to have to learn to live with 20% higher prices, trillion-dollar deficits, declining purchasing power, schools that don’t teach, crime on the streets, a porous border, and $4-a-gallon gas (some states are lower while other states are higher). It's high but as least it's stabilizing...

1. Oberlin College

In Ohio, Oberlin College, a hub of political correctness, lost its appeal of a $31 million judgment for defaming a local bakery and ruining its business with fabricated claims of racism. That amount includes $25 million in punitive damages and $6 million for attorneys’ fees.

Gibson’s Bakery is a local institution that has operated for more than 130 years. In 2016, a black male student, accompanied by two black female students, shoplifted two bottles of wine after first trying to use a fake ID to buy them. The son of the bakery owner chased them out of the store, where the three students attacked him. Police arrested the students and all three pleaded guilty to misdemeanors.

Yet students at the college, with the full support of school administrators, made false claims of racism against Gibson’s, saying the shoplifters had been racially profiled and that Gibson’s was a “racist” establishment. They organized protests and vandalized and damaged the bakery.

The university canceled all its business contracts with the bakery for catering and continued the racism claims. A dean even handed out a false, defamatory flier, ignoring the report of the police investigation that found no racism and the fact that the students had pleaded guilty.

In a stunning display of arrogance, Oberlin still won’t admit it did anything wrong and hasn’t apologized to the bakery. Instead, Oberlin issued a statement saying that it is “evaluating” its options and that the “issues raised by this case have been challenging.”

The issues aren’t “challenging.” Oberlin jumped to erroneous conclusions before the facts were in and sprang on the politically correct racism bandwagon to make false charges about a local business. The only evaluation Oberlin should do is how to finally pay the judgment and fire the administrators involved.

2. Shawnee State University

Another school in Ohio, Shawnee State University, just agreed to pay $400,000 in damages to 20-year philosophy professor Nicholas Meriwether, along with his attorneys’ fees.

The school had punished Meriwether for refusing a male student’s demand that the professor refer to him as a woman, using female titles and pronouns.

According to the professor’s lawyers at Alliance Defending Freedom, the male student “became aggressive, physically circling him, getting in his face, using expletives, and even threatening to get him fired.”

Meriwether offered to refer to the student under any name he wanted instead of using pronouns, but the student and the university said that wasn’t good enough and that Meriwether supposedly had created a “hostile environment.”

Meriwether sued, saying that the university was violating his religious beliefs as a Christian under the First Amendment. In March 2021, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Meriwether could sue the university, reversing a district court decision that had dismissed his case.

That apparently led to the settlement by Shawnee, which includes the university agreeing that Meriwether will not be forced to use particular pronouns or titles when talking to students.

3. Clemson University

Finally, one of the most dangerous developments in recent years at college campuses has been universities setting up Star Chamber, Soviet-style, show trial procedures over complaints of sexual assault in which the universities deny basic and fundamental due process rights to accused students. That includes refusing to allow the students an opportunity to present exculpatory evidence, to question their accusers and cross-examine witnesses, or to be represented by a lawyer.

A South Carolina jury just awarded a Clemson University student, Andrew Pampu, $5.3 million for defamation and civil conspiracy by a female Clemson student, her boyfriend, and her father.

The university had suspended Pampu for a year after finding him guilty of sexual misconduct against Erin Wingo. To get to that finding, however, the university ignored multiple witnesses and text messages showing that Wingo had consensual sex with Pampu and manufactured a rape claim only after her boyfriend, Colin Gahagan, found out about it.

Pampu filed a lawsuit after he received a text message from Gahagan admitting that Pampu was innocent, that Gahagan had lied in the hearing, that Wingo “wanted to have sex that night,” and that Gahagan had deleted texts “from that night that prove she was f—— crazy.”

Clemson acted almost immediately to remove the disciplinary finding against Pampu and agreed to pay him $100,000, likely saving Clemson from an even bigger judgment against the university.  Of course, if it had not ignored the exculpatory evidence in the first place and assumed Pampu was guilty, it would not have had to pay anything.

Hopefully, this will prevent other colleges from doing the same thing too... I believe that anyone who made false accusation should face the saem consequences; get prosecuted, pay fines and get jail time.

Axios broke the story but was picked up by ABC... The DNC used over $1million to defend Biden on his allegation, investigation, etc etc.

The Democratic National Committee has been paying President Joe Biden's legal fees incurred in connection with special counsel Robert Hur's investigation into his handling of classified documents, according to sources and disclosures of expenditures filed by the party committee...

Since last year, the party committee has paid the law firm of Bob Bauer, the lead attorney representing Biden in Hur's investigation more than $1 million -- roughly $150,000 a month -- from July 2023 through February 2024.

The DNC since last year has also paid roughly $905,000 to Hemenway & Barnes LLP, the law firm of Jennifer Miller, who is named as one of the attorneys that had represented Biden in the special counsel probe - ABC News

However, they claimed that none of the $millions spent on Biden's legal fee is coming from donors - Hmmm... where does the DNC's funding came from then if not from donors?

"There is no comparison -- the DNC does not spend a single penny of grassroots donors' money on legal bills, unlike Donald Trump, who actively solicits legal fees from his supporters and has drawn down every bank account he can get his hands on like a personal piggy bank." - DNC spokesperson Alex Floyd

"When you look at the money that we are raising, which is overwhelmingly from grassroots donors… this is money going to voters, this is money going to voters in the battleground states. And when you look at what Trump is doing, that money, we don't know where it's going. It might be going to legal fees." - Munoz, Biden campaign spokesperson. Why even bring Trump into this? It's because they need to deflect the problem to someone else - kinda like "We raped you but Trump raped more... " And knowing how Lefties/Demmies think and act (just a collective), they'll eat it up and blamed Trump for it.

Just last week, the Biden campaign's finance chair Rufus Gifford said on MSNBC that "every single dime that you give to the Biden-Harris reelection campaign, we spend talking to voters. We are not spending money on legal bills. We are not hawking gold sneakers, or any of that stuff. The money that we are raising, we are going straight to voters." Straight face lying on MSM because they know that MSNBC is just a tool used by the them to spread propaganda... like these claims.

Again, If that's true, then why did the report came out differently? 

If these money are not from grassroots donors, then where do they come from? Did the DNC just print money out of thin air? Wait, they must be building 'pipe dream' and selling them to their uninformed supporters because the money they got was not donors' money. Again. they throw BS out there without any evidence to back them up.  They must think their supporters/donors are that ignorant to not know the difference...

Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett appeared on an episode of the Black Lawyers Podcast released on Tuesday, suggesting that one way reparations could be paid to descendants of America's former slave trade is for the group to be given a reprieve from paying taxes for a certain amount of time. And this will receive less opposition than giving them an amount of cash... She also suggest that only direct descendent of slaves be given reparation. Hmmm... then how about only descendent of slave owners pay for the reparation? And if we're going after the descendent of slave owners to punished them for their ancestors' crime, we should do the same for children of illegals that broke the law.

In fact. since Oct. 7 (I don't personally differentiate between Hamas and what so-called Palestinians because actually there is no Palestinians. There are, uh... tribes. There is the tribe of Hamas, there is the tribe of Islamic Jihad and there is the tribe of Kaleen(?spelling) and there is the tribe of Nablos(?spelling) and each one has different interests and all of them conflicted. If they do not have Israel as the common enemy they will kill each other. This is the reality of what's so-called Palestine. And Pro-Palestine are helping Hamas to prove to the world that Palestine depend on the destructions of the State of Israel and this is not acceptable.

Maxime Waters recently complained that she was a target of racism during an interview...

She said: As a member of Congress with people, you know, who evidently has racist attitude. Uh, and recently one even confronted me in a restuarant, they don't say racist things but what they say is... uh... they don't like something I said, they don't like a position that I took. Uh... but you know, that... you know, if you were not black. Uh, you would not be approached that way... They probably would not... they would think twice about doing it.

Hmmm... so, she thinks that this person (I'm assuming it's a non-black person) is a racist because they disagree with some of the position she took and what she's saying about certain issues? Is she royalty that can't be questioned at all? She even claimed that what this person said was not racist at all...

Well... isn't that funny? I clearly remember her encouraging her supporters, Lefties, Demmies and Pro-@ssies to get in the face of Trump's cabinet members to harassed them and make them no welcome in public.
This is what she said in 2018 at the Wilshire Federal Building:Let's make sure we show up, wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that cabinet (Trump's Cabinets) in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gas station... you get out, and you create a crowd and you push back on them, you tell them they're not welcome anymore... anywhere.

Looks like someone took her preaching to heart and doing exactly what she's preaching toward her... but she don't like it and calls it racism because the other person isn't black.

a 68yr old business woman, Truong My Lan (not Viet but Chinese ancestry) - real estate tycoon, has been charged with corruption and is sentenced to death. She was convicted of fraudulently siphoning $12 billion from Saigon Joint Stock Commercial Bank (SCB) into shell companies. She had seized control of 91.5 percent of SCB’s shares, allegedly using co-conspirators as proxies to circumvent strict laws against such extensive power over financial institutions. Her alleged taking amounts to approx. 3% of Vietnam's 2022 GDP. Her husband was sentenced to 9yrs for his involvement... Her niece, Truong Hue Van, the chief executive of Van Thinh Phat (the real estate company), was sentenced to 17 years in prison for aiding her aunt.

I bet she'll get max 10yrs on house arrest and parole in 3yrs for good behavior in the US.

Although he was a football great - he was also a criminal with a rap sheet... Will people remember him for his football greatness or his criminal history?

I saw him walking past me at the airport in 2008 in Kentucky... he was there for the Kentucky Derby while I was flying in for a job interview in Kentucky. I didn't realized it was him until a lot of people starting waving at him and asking for autograph.

Moon is made up of gas and a planet...   

Speaking to Booker T. Washington High Schoolers prior to the solar eclipse, Jackson stated: "A full moon is that complete, rounded circle which is made up mostly of gases, and that's why the question is why or how could we as humans live on the moon? Are the gases such that we could do that?"

She then followed that up to claimed that the moon is a planet... "We have yet to know whether you can live on the moon. But I don't know about you, I want to be first in line to know how to live and to be able to survive on the moon — that's another planet which we're going to see shortly."

Of course, after receiving backlash and made fun off on social media, she went to social media to explained that she misspoke and meant to say the Sun was mostly made of gas... She also blamed the GOP/MAGA/Conservatives for focusing on her words instead of working on pending issues like she is doing.
