Hoarding due to strike
« on: October 03, 2024, 09:03:54 AM »
Just because a product is made in the USA, it doesn't mean the manufacturing company doesn't get ingredients from other countries in order to make their product.

When I worked at a manufacturing company, the R & D department had to shop for new vendors in China to supply one of the metals we needed to produce our products. This is true for many companies in the USA. I have already had people tell me that work has slowed or been halted because they can't get certain items to produce their products.

And here is the thing, even if you don't plan to stock up, you'll still be caught up in it since others will. Retailers will have no choice but to raise prices and you'll only have yourself to blame.

Personally, I don't need to hoard at the last minute because I'm always well stocked anyways. It's all about being well prepared for anything.
