This is really disrupting

It's going to be within, like 40 minutes or something, (within) an hour," Texas Department of Public Safety director Steven McCraw told CNN's Ed Lavandera at a news conference.

No more "disrupting" than you as you already said, you don't care for the kids, just your selfish self..

and WELPS so much for crying: "news" threads..."NO BODY CARES"..."no view"..."no comment"..

YOUR WORDS, NOT MINE...

How climate change threatens the wine industry

This is just the latest example of how increasingly unpredictable weather patterns caused by climate change are threatening the wine industry. Warmer spring temperatures have caused grapevines to bud sooner, thereby exposing them to evening temperatures that have dropped below freezing. “It’s getting warmer in these earlier months,” Steven Schultze, a professor of geography at the University of South Alabama who has studied the effect of climate change on wine production, told Yahoo News. “There was a pretty warm March, in comparison to normal for the region. To the grapes, they don’t have a calendar, they don’t know what time of year it is. Once a certain amount of heat accumulation occurs, they’re ready to rock and roll.” But, he cautioned, “when the buds start coming out, you’ve got to hold your breath until you get to the frost-free zone.”

Vietnamese refugee who vows to 'fight the woke agenda' wins VA GOP nom despite raising less money

Vietnamese refugee and retired U.S. Navy captain Hung Cao, 50, won the GOP primary on Saturday and will go on to battle Democratic Rep. Jennifer Wexton for Northern Virginia’s 10th District.

In an impressive roster of 11 candidates, political newcomer Cao came out on top, reportedly gaining over 50 percent of the votes in the ninth round of balloting.

The retired Navy captain of over 25 years, who immigrated to the U.S. as a refugee from Vietnam in 1975, seemed the unlikeliest of candidates.

After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy, Cao worked as a Navy deep sea diver and explosive ordnance disposal officer, according to a campaign biography. Part of his service included recovering the plane wreckage of John F. Kennedy Jr., Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Lauren Bessette.

Cao and his family of seven made Virginia their permanent home just five years ago, after 13 moves across the States and world due to his military career.

The majority of his campaign ads include military-themed lettering and imagery. His “Hung Cao” logo, for example, is formatted like a gunsight, or the part the shooter looks through to aim their firearm.

Dressed in a simple red tee and jeans, Cao thanked voters via Twitter before reiterating that the work was not “done yet,” as they still needed to win the election in November.

We did it! Thank you to all who have supported me thus far, but we aren’t done yet— let’s unite together & win in November. #VA10

Cao led the polls throughout the race for the primaries, including over Prince William County Supervisor Jeanine Lawson, who was able to raise more funds than the retired veteran but ultimately lost.

Agree, live and enjoy life to the fullest...with your love ones.

And be considerate of the sacrifice they've made raising you so leeching off them is a BIG NO NO...

You should return the favor of love and care, not used and abused them when they sacrificed so much to raise you...

Former NFL Star Ricky Williams Legally Changes His Last Name to His Wife's: 'Really Meaningful'
Ricky Williams changed his last name to Miron to create "ease, intimacy and trust" in his marriage to his wife

Former NFL star Ricky Williams, now Ricky Miron, has legally changed his last name for a sweet reason.

During an interview on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Ricky — who played 11 seasons in the NFL — said he changed his name to Errick Miron to adopt his wife Linnea Miron's last name. (Though he goes by "Ricky," Errick is his first name.)

"I did it probably a year and a half ago, made it official," Ricky said on the podcast. "Something I've been thinking about and talking about, and I finally went through the steps."

"I went to the social security office with my marriage certificate, and I went through the process," he added. "It was quick and easy, and it felt meaningful. Really meaningful."

Ricky said he went about the process to create more balance in his marriage, something he considered after taking an astrology-relationship class. While his wife is a successful attorney, he often gets more attention due to his NFL career, he said.

Asian Americans more likely to buy guns during pandemic out of fear of racial attacks, says new study

A study conducted by the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University found that Asian Americans who experienced instances of racism during the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic were more likely to purchase firearms for self-defense.

The researchers found that experiencing racial discrimination is linked to the increase of firearm ownership and that Asian Americans with higher anticipatory racism-related stress are found to have greater intent to buy a gun.

Sampling 916 Asian American adults, the data was collected in December 2020 and January 2021. Researchers examined the firearm-related risks, firearm and ammunition purchases, along with the measures of racism and discrimination experiences of individuals since the beginning of the pandemic.

“That was concerning to us and that’s how we started this study looking into whether the racism and discrimination experience by Asian Americans were linked to their increased firearm purchase,” said Hsing-Fang Hsieh, assistant research scientist in Health Behavior and Health Education at the U-M School of Public Health.
