Life in the United States
Begins the struggle between the old and young
Fearing for the culture's fate
Values and traditions of the Hmong
Slowing perishing along with our native tongue
First we came with broken English
Now we speak broken Hmong
The elders only wish
For we, people with a faded history
Puzzled with questions and mysteries
We must carry on our people's name
Cherish what we do know and all that remains
Begins the struggle between the old and young
Fearing for the culture's fate
Values and traditions of the Hmong

True and I think the best reward for a writer is to read the comments and feed backs off their writings

I know exactly what you mean... just like being a shaman.. it only comes to you at a certain time.. you can't force it. Just write whenever your heart feels the need to express. I don't want to break your innocent heart.
Exactly what I was trying to say and fine don't break my heart then
lol but another way to make me write is to have a poetry contest kidding again
