General Discussion / Trump wants 3rd term; law can be changed
« on: October 28, 2025, 07:44:43 PM »
The Constitution allows a President to
serve for four years.

But it does not say how many terms a
person can serve as President.

So, FDR ran and won four terms. If he didn't die, he would have
won again and perhaps served more than 13 years.

So, after that, the Legislature amended the Constitution to allow
only two terms. All subsequent Presidents have
served only two terms. They never ran again.

Now, there could be someone getting a third or fourth term.

Trump has a good shot at it, because right now the Republicans can amend
the Constitution again to allow more than two terms. All this while Trump is
still in office.

But will Trump still be fit mentally after this term?  Also, will he win again just because
he now has confidence that he could?

General Discussion / Let's share Halloween tales.

Let me start with one.

My friend's mom has passed away several years ago.

One night, my friend dreamed of her mom. So, they
talked about someone they both knew.

"Mom, has he come there yet?" the friend asked.

"Yes. He's here. But he doesn't have a head. So, I didn't
want to tell you yet because I was afraid you might be afraid."

The friend saw that guy eating bananas even without his head.

A week later in real life, news came to the friend that the guy
had died from being thrown onto the ground and cracked his head.

You know those CMA churches that collect 10% of your monthly earnings for memberships?

One Hmong guy joined them and prayed to God that if God helped him win the
lottery, he would donate 10% to the churches.

Then he won 100K on the lottery and left the churches instead.

At the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 80) on Tuesday, September 9, 2025,
France, Britain, Australia, and Canada will announce their recognition of Palestine as an independent state.

The push for recognition is prompted largely by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Israel has
continued to torture innocent civilians there and has decline to allow foods and water into
the area.  Israel has pretended to be fighting the terrorist group Hamas but its intention
has been to eradicate all Palestinians.

Canada states that this recognition does not take down Israel. Israel
will continue to be its own state.

This assembly or gathering of  nations will be in New York.

At first, I thought that since Biden didn't recognize Palestine that Trump
would. But it has turned out that the U.S. has always taken sides with
Israel and has also blocked Palestine from being independent.

There are now 147 countries recognizing Palestine now; 147
among the UN's 192 members.

Independence will do the Palestinians good.

Loeb is a Harvard scientist. That's a scientist working at Harvard, not one on Harvard.

He claims that there's a lingering object in space that's an alien mothership.

Do we send kids to Harvard to come out not knowing real life issues?
