That's good that you have a good system of measurable assessment. 

The current assessment we have for performance, has no demerits on it.  It so messed up, you can't even say that these workers need to work on ________.  Rating is measure of good job, sometimes performs better than most, is an example leader to those around.  Really!  Everyone is an example because everyone affects the performance of those around them.  A good worker only makes those around them look more lazy.  A lazy worker drags all around them to a lesser output.  These are most of the ones I've got to work with.  At the end of the day, thank you, thank you for showing up, thank you for doing a good job. 

Really thank you for not having me call the cops today.  and making a scene.

Motto is different here, got to bring your best game. Even if everyone is high performance, someone will fill each bracket all the way down to low performance. You don’t want to be at the lower end of high performance, you will still be designated into the low performance brackets if everyone outshines you.

I remembered as a kid (ages 12-15)working in the field under the hot sun 12 hours/day from 5am to 5pm during the Summer season, if you don't work, you don't get paid, simple as that..

There was no hourly wages nor salaries so you get paid for exactly the work that you do...

It was hard work but taught me a good life lesson from early on..

Field work is tough and I’ve been there in the early 80s. I give lots of props to our Hmong farmers for continuing. I’m genuinely considering moving to the countryside and grow my crops, raise my animals with none of that additives.
