General Discussion / another Hmong song....
« on: November 07, 2019, 08:17:01 AM »
Got a share this morning.  This is why KLS is legend. They don't just slap something on and put it out there just to put out there.

When you hear the music you know it's not amateur.  LOVE the singing in Hmong, true to the roots of Hmong people.  From the grapevines, I believe Allknighters are children of KLS.  Like always the music is beyond any Hmong to-date IMO.

General Discussion / life is so short
« on: February 01, 2019, 08:37:47 AM »
My wife and I was talking over the weekend and we both realized that life is so short.  In a blink of an eye our kids are all grown, have their own family, we are old and I'm retired, etc.  People always say, when you are having fun time flies.......wh en you have a good life time is so short, not enough time to enjoy life.  Summing it all, I guess my wife and I, our life is good because life is so short and there is so much we want to do together...... ...STILL.

General Discussion / This job sucks.....

Police Officer shot and killed on her first shift.

https://abcnews.go.com/beta-story-container/US/louisiana-police-officer-fatally-shot-starting-shift/story?id=60280820

My thing is......

Who still want to be a police officer when society is always pointing fingers at them nowadays. A job don't pay enough if you have to wonder in the back of your mind about getting home to the wife and kids in one piece IMO.  I rather work in a office setting pushing papers, no hate from the public, no risking my life, better hours too. Yeah, people going to argue, follow your dreams......I'm sure nobody want to follow a dream right into getting shot especially at work. There are some safer dreams okay.

General Discussion / Cali people
« on: January 09, 2019, 01:38:24 PM »
Saw this post on FB:

California's new traffic fine rules were released on January 1, 2019:

Forget to carry your driver's license $214

Forget to change the address (more than ten days) $214

Uninsured car in an accident $796 and
driver's license revoked for 4 years.

Fail to stop at a red light or turning right at a No Turn on Red $533

Crossing a double yellow line $425.

Violation of the turn or U-turn $284.

Speeding 1-15 miles $224
Speeding 16-25 miles $338

Stop Sign but fail to stop $284

Pass the flashing light of a school bus $675

Talking on cell phone
1st time $76, 2nd time $190, and
same penalty even if you are just holding it in your hand

Not wearing a seat belt $160

Stopped at a bus stop $976

Driving with high beam lights (from 30 points) $382

Child did not wearing a seat belt or in a child’s seat $436

Tinted windows $178

Driving with headphones $178

Modified Exhaust $1000 EACH stop.

All of the above violations allow for you to go to traffic school for 8 hours. If you get a 2nd ticket within 18 months, no traffic school, you must pay the penalty, points go on your driving record, and your insurance rates will rise. You might want to review these with the drivers in your household to prevent any surprises.

General Discussion / work place parties at a decline

A decline in office parties due to #MeToo

https://www.yahoo.com/news/metoo-era-office-party-etiquette-110009702.html?.tsrc=fauxdal

Both my wife and I agree long ago that the work place is a place to work but also a F-fest for many people.  Therefore, one must be very careful.  Office parties is just another invite to get to know people more and F, have affairs, one night stands, etc.  My wife and I would avoid our office parties at all cost unless its a must show.  Even then, we would not drink alcohol and be outta there as soon as it becomes pointless to stay any longer.  Sometimes we would here about the crazy things co-worker do at the office parties the day after and who F who, Yes, you hear that stuff.  Best thing is talk to your spouse/gf/bf about the red flags, pros and cons, etc. Know how to handle pressure, situations, who to look out for, who is being too friendly, too touchy, etc.  Example:  You going to the party, "Nope", problem solved, right.

We both talk about this kind of stuff every once a year or from time to time as a refresher, yes a REFRESHER, just like company training, lol.  We also both agreed that if an affairs do happens, it is the will of the person wanting to do it because it takes two to tango.  Therefore best to divorce and don't use the kids as a leverage to stay for more suffering.  Glad that all those refresher pays off, as we both grow old together and still very much in love.

There's a lot of naive couples out there who goes to work everyday and have no clue of the signs.  So, talk to your spouse/gf/bf about this kind of stuff because the work place is also a F-fest, you heard the stories, don't be a victim.  Good luck.

General Discussion / Sex or money?
« on: December 06, 2018, 11:23:57 AM »
I try to make this as friendly and appropriate as possible, so here goes.....

I had a debate a few weeks ago.  There’s two decent looking guy, one is rich and the other one can really please a woman sexually.  Who will win the ladies over?

My bet is on the please women sexually.  I believe sex addiction is one of the top three of all addiction.  Possibly the number one IMO.

General Discussion / I warn my wife about this.....
« on: December 05, 2018, 10:40:42 AM »
I always warn my wife about these incident because she's always feel empathy and sympathy for people. I know not all are bad people but its just dangerous.  I have seen a decline in morality and ethics in the last 2 decades so everybody must be vigilant.

General Discussion / Venom
« on: November 29, 2018, 07:07:45 PM »
*May contain spoiler*

We just saw Venom the movie and for heaven sake this was a disappointment .  Venom seem like a badazz hero slash bad guy but his story suck ballz.  The worst is his girl left him when he need her the most, then she went and got piped out by another dude (this just killed the movie as a whole) and this Venom dude (Eddie) kept chasing after this low life egocentric dumb women.  My wife even agree she was for herself and she don't really love Eddie.  I was hoping for a good movie, but end up with lost time I will never buy back.

Sorry for the language, I've had it with these superhero movies, Argggggg!

General Discussion / Since retirement.....
« on: November 26, 2018, 01:23:08 PM »
Just a little inspirational thread.  Since retirement I have learn and/or self taught Photoshop, Wordpress and bought myself a Sony AR7II and learn Photography.  I can pretty much start a Photography Studio Business, use my photoshop skills and setup my own business website with my Wordpress skills.  I’m not going to though, what is the point of working again when I can retire, lol.

Lets see what is next to learn…….Ableton Live or Fruity Loop Studio.  I think I have music playing in my head, lol.

Here is my IMO advised.  Most skills can be learn. Anybody who are in good health and mentally normal who claim they can’t do it, the fault is within themselves, they like to pull excuses after excuses.  They would pull excuses that I've never even heard of, lol.

Anyways, live, learn and achieve.  There are millions of resources out there that are right at your fingertips and most of all, if an old fart like me can do it, you can too.

General Discussion / My next car
« on: November 20, 2018, 02:42:16 PM »
I told the wife our next car will be a Tesla S P100D.  A performance package with AWD and 315 mile range. You can watch reviews on youtube but the auto-pilot, no gas, 315 mile range pretty much sold me.  There is quick charge all over America making road trips a breeze.
The only thing that worries me is the maintenance.  I'm sure its going to be a new beast trying to fix it.  I'll read the fine prints on the warranty and go from there.......
