^^ Trump did not save anyone's ass.  He was looking for his own skin to save.  Remember, he is in the mist of an impeachment.  He has racked up trillions of our federal dollars into the military complex.  He's got issues (mostly mental).  To save himself from his own problems, he starts a war to deflect attention away from his problems.

The U.S. and Israel are the two biggest obstacle to world peace in the world.  Anywhere the U.S. goes, death and destruction follows.  The U.S. supplies the world with wars and weapons of war.  If you are familiar with the book of revelation in the Bible, it talks about two Beasts rising up.  The first Beast (U.S.) will cause wars, death, destruction.  The 2nd Beast (Israel) will tell the world to obey and worship the first Beast.  Any country that does not have the mark of the Beast (stamp of approval) on its forehead cannot buy/sell (sanctions).  The use of sanctions against other countries to bring them to their knees fits this scenario.  Half of the world has been sanctioned by the U.S.  Those countries cannot buy/sell on the world market.  If you don't comply with the demands of the U.S., your country will be shunned nd labeled "axis of evil".

Trump's facing impeachment.  Election is coming up.  What better way to divert attention and make him look good. A war will "kill two birds with one stone".

If you are familiar with the Christian book of Revelations, it talks about a coming beast with great powers over the earth.  The world worships it (looks up to it).  If you don't have it's mark (approval), you cannot buy/sell.  This sounds like the use of sanctions.  The American empire is the most powerful nation right now.  It s trying to force other nations under its control.  Any nation not aligned with its ideology, it imposes sanctions so that country cannot buy/sell on the world market.

So one day, this song came on and I heard it.  I used to not pay attention to these types of songs, but this time it hits me that I liked it. That's how OG I am..

Beautiful song.  I am glad to be an OG: born in Laos but grew up here in the U.S. as many of you are as well.  I can speak both Moob leeg dialect and English fluently.  I can relate to both worlds.  I remember the sacrifices of thousands of our people in the war.  Our young people today are slowly losing our culture and tradition.  It is sad.  My own kids cannot speak our native language.  They have no idea of the old world.  What we have left are memories and stories to pass on to them.  That's the least we can do.

Andrew Yang, the 2020 Presidential candidate.  Most of you folks out there come here for entertainment, gossip, etc.  But hopefully you all are sensible enough to know there is an Asian dude name Andrew Yang (Chinese) who is running for U.S. President next year.  Read up on the guy and help share his candidacy to your parents, cousins, friends and enemies alike about this guy.  He is by far the best guy for President in my book.  Remember to vote next year.

I'm not sure I can agree with the first part of your statement. Just from my own personal experience, I can't see the correlation.

I suffered through trying to find my own identity, both culturally and individually and I turned out alright.

My point is that there are too many bad news coming out from our Moob communities around the U.S..  And why is that?  Because we are slowly losing our respect for each other.  We are adopting and taking on the social behaviors around us.  The older generations had our culture, traditions to guide them in life for a long time.  Disagreements were worked out with the clan leaders, relatives, etc.  People worked things out through dialogue.  It wasn't perfect but our tradition and culture brought our Moob people together.  But now I often see our Moob people moving away from our own culture and traditional ways of life.  And we are slowly adopting the culture-less, tradition-less "me, myself and I" attitude of the American society.  The younger generations are throwing traditions, customs, culture away piece by piece.  Take the fights happening at the soccer tournaments.  Take the Moob youths joining gangs.  Take the Moob becoming drug addicts.  Take the homeless Moob people living under bridges.  Take the divorce rates happening within our Moob communities.  These are all examples of a non-traditional non-cultural values we are adopting now.  These types of behavior were unheard of during our parent's generations.  Because we don't care to exercise our tradition, value our culture we learn to take on the behavior and attitudes of this selfish society.  We become what our neighbors are like.  Vangs marrying Vangs.  Yangs marrying Yangs.  Extra marital affairs.  Moob people doing porn movies.  You name it our Moob people has done it, with no shame.  Those are just some examples of throwing traditions out the window.  That sets the trend for other clans to do the same thing.

Back to the killings.  I'm guessing it's payback due to either someone getting it on with someone else's significant other or the usual drug/money problem.  Nothing makes another man go to these extremes as those afore mentions.

Incidents like these are indicative of a generation deprived of their culture, identity.  It's not a gun issue.  "It's a you done this to me, I'll pay it back to you" mentality.  For sure this was not a random act.  Someone was in revenge mode.....

Moob and Lao people will never see eye to eye.  I'm being brutality honest here.  Many many older Moob people remember the racially charged fights back in the refugee camps back in Ban Vinai, Ban Nong Khai, etc.  That's a little history for you young people.
