cwjmemdub, it takes tremendous courage to love and to let go.  Take baby steps and eventually you'll get somewhere.  Any place is better than where you are... In your shoes would be my worst fear come true :D :D :D :D :D

Linshoutian - sounds like a Chinese poet and I would have love to read your poems because I can relate to "A dozen years".  Perhaps if inspiration calls again, do write/share.

in God, did not believe in the miracles we see and witness, and if there were no churches or Christian organizations around? Even our dollar bill would look different .... isn't money the root of evil?
R u talking about a Christian God?  If the world did not believe in a Christian God, they would believe in some other like Allah, Sun God (Egypt), etc..

But if you're asking what would a world without religion be like - Not sure.  I  haven't seen that world - because within all human beings right now and since the beginning of time, lies the innate knowledge there's a creator and because we have this knowledge, we're going to worship whom ever we think is this creator.

If we didn't have the innate knowledge of a creator - in that world - anyone worshiping a God would be considered "crazy."

Faith & Beliefs / Re: Why Christian folk so obsessed at the end of time?

The people that believe this pastor didn't check their Bible.   The Bible- Matthew 34:26 says, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

But of course some people believe the Bible is conceived by  MEN and therefore meaningless - What end time right?  You live.  You died.  End of Story.  and some might even say, You live.  You died.  You re-born.  Cycle starts all over again :D :D :D

Faith & Beliefs / Re: From a atheist viewpoint

Hypothetically speaking- even if God stands in front of you right now and say, "son, I am God" you'd still  have doubt, call that person "crazy" and even if that person perform a miracle in front of you, you'll be amazed but you wouldn't accept him to be God.

Jesus-God the son, came to earth, walked and lived among men.  Told them who he is and performed miracles.  Many people didn't believe and called him discipline of Satan, etc..

If he came today, it'll be the same because FAITH is not based on "see first believe later" but it is-

"The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." -Hebrew 11:1

Believer or non-believer - everyone - know that God exist- for Hmong, it's tswv ntuj (God of the Sky), Yawm Saub etc.. For Muslim -Allah (??)  because God put this knowledge into the heart of every man:

"...[W]hat may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--His eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made so that men are without excuse" (Rom. 1:19-20)

"The fool says in his heart, `There is no God'" (Psalm 14:1)

"For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything." (Heb. 4:4)

SOOOOOOOO God will not magically appear in the physical form to EVERY ONE and give you the PROOF you seek BEFORE you either believe or disbelieve.

When your parents guide you, do you expect them to show you the outcome before you accept their teaching(s)?  If that's the case, can you imagine what they have to go through each and every time they teach you/guide you...

God is wise - he explain himself in his autobiography we call THE BIBLE - that book is addressed to each of us individually - and when we read, it's like reading an interview  of our questions like "so God who are u?"  Why am I here?  Why did you created me?  Why am I suffering?  Are you real?  How do I know you're real? etc...things like that  :D :D :D

w/o God coming down to talk in the physical with each and every living soul from the beginning of time to the end of time -

I hope this answers your question.

Fear (fear of rejection, what people think, getting hurt, etc..) and insecurity (about the family, past, self, relationship, etc..) applies to all group young and old.

Now if you are talking about npab nauj then yes probably applies to traditional folks more like npab nauj wear shorts in winter, below 0 temperature.  Npab nauj when you try to hold her hands but she "shy away" and giggling covering her mouth, npab nauj wash clothes in the kitchen sink..

or nab nauj eat pho without using fish sauce ahhahaha.. something like that.

The way you reply to this makes me think you grew up in a community like hers where people gossip a lot. I did not and I stay away from people that do.

The people that mind don't matter, the people that matter don't mind.
You just gossip about a certain type of woman like people gossip about a divorce woman-creating stigma for both.

anyone ever have this problem? tell me your story. insecure about their past their family and always think the hmong community will think something about them or what they do. never want to just be open and honest / show who they are when its not a big deal to the rest of us. <moved>
From your description, this type of woman is one with moral, who understands the world and how the world works, and is reserved (cautious).  Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe you relate well to a woman whose philosophy is "me,myself, and I."- Maybe.

Thought of the day:  To think we are more and deserves more is a mistake, but to give more never is.
To give-especially for good causes- is never a mistake.  There are so many ways one can give:  Your time, skills, talents, and if you have financial mean, your wealth to do good things in the world.

The greatest joy in having $$ is to put them to good use and the greatest tragedy is to hoard- What a waste!

I've tried the oil cleanser and my skin didn't like it. It broke me out. My personal fav holy grail product is Thayer's unscented witch hazel toner and acne.org's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.. for my acne prone skin.
I haven't try the korean version of their oil cleanser but I do use grapeseed oil as cleanser once per week and I wipe it off w/ a wash cloth in warm water.   Result:  smooth, soft complexion.

cwjmemdub- One good thing about lost love, they inspire the most amazing songs or in your case love poems and thank you for sharing.  Have you ever thought about compiling all your love poems into a  book and perhaps published them?

Have you tried the 20 Step Korean Regimen? Really?! 20 different products on your face cannot be good.
That's too much.... but I did learn something from the korean skin care, adding cleansing oil to my skin care regiment, not every night but twice a week.

Here's a link to korean skin care step and their holy grail products

The honey mask and honey cream are good and yes will lighten your skin a little but that's ok..I could use a little lightening..  I'm out of the honey cream and haven't re-order.  The honey mask I use one or twice a week and makes my skin soft, that's the best quality.

I found a substitute for the honey cream..I'm currently using Lanoline Manuka Honey Skin Renewing Cream and it hydrates my skin, that's what I'm looking for.

Sharing of people who can relate to your love story:

comments people say about this video:

When I first saw the vid of the reunion of the two artists Marina Ambramovic and Frank Uwe Laysiepen aka ‘Ulay’ after 33 years of being apart, I was so touched by how they look at each other eyes and you can tell that true love never dies. :)

Published on May 30, 2015
“I was fortunate enough to wander into the MoMA just in time for "The Artist Is Present". Equal parts unsettling, absurd, and profound; I couldn't shake the experience. Later, I stumbled onto the video wherein Ulay and Marina reunite and was overwhelmed with only one sentiment: this is a song.”
