....is there any way we can have a filter to have most recent posts/threads to come up at the top instead of randomly?  I hate having to go through old posts/threads when I search.  ::)

Yeah...the search display is horrible with this new version. I will look to find if there is a way to sort results. In the meantime, click on the "advanced search" link and select Most recent topics first from the Search order dropdown box.
