I’ve see you take your kids fishing
Sometimes coming home empty handed
These trout are raised in a fish farm
You pay extra $$$ for trouts stamp
So they can raise it and release it for you to go fish (cheap)
The tips is:
To find the date and time
When the farm and DNR release and stock the water and stream
The fishing will be plentiful at this time
Their number will go down as more people eat them

I used to live in a house where the landlord had a well full of rainbow trouts. I asked for permission to catch a few for dinner. He said ok. So, I put a food ball on a hook, lowered it down and one bit the bait.
After that, no other fish would bite any more bait.
But two years ago, I went to a southern MN lake and caught one after another from the same bank.
Not sure what to think of farm-raised fishes.

So a lot of them are raise in fish farm and release
Talk to the local DNR
They will happily tell you when the next stocking is

I like natural stream trouts more. I don't think the DNR stocks those.
