Beautiful By. Eminem

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgT1AidzRWM

Lately I've been hard to reach
I've been too long on my own
Everyone has a private world
Where they can be alone
Are you calling me, are you trying to get through
Are you reaching out for me, and I'm reaching out for you

I'm just so fu-ckin' depressed
I just can seem to get out this slump
If I could just get over this hump
But I need something to pull me out this dump
I took my bruises, took my lumps
Fell down and I got right back up
But I need that spark to get psyched back up
And the right thing for me to pick that mic back up
I don't know how I pry away
And I ended up in this position I'm in
I starting to feel distant again
So I decided just to beat this pain
Up and tried to make an attempt to vent
But I just can't admit
Or come to grips, with the fact that
I may be done with rap
I need a new outlet
I know some shits so hard to swallow
And I just can't sit back and wallow
In my own sorrow
But I know one fact
I'll be one tough act to follow
One tough act to follow
Copy
One tough act to follow
Here today, gone tomorrow
But you have to walk a thousand miles

Chorus
Walk my shoes, just to see
What it's like, to be me
All be you, let's trade shoes
Just to see what I'd be like to
Feel your pain, you feel mine
Go inside each other's mind
Just to see what we find
Looking shit through each other's eyes

But don't let 'em say you ain't beautiful OoOo
They can all get fu-cked. Just stay true to you sOoOoo
Don't let 'em say you ain't beautiful OoOo
They can all get fu-cked. Just stay true to you sOoOoo

I think I'm starting to lose my sense of humor
Everything is so tense and gloom
I almost feel like I gotta check the temperature in the room
Just as soon as I walk in
It's like all eyes on me
So I try to avoid any eye contact
Cause if I do that then it opens a door to conversation
Like I want that...
I'm not looking for extra attention
I just want to be just like you
Blend in with the rest of the room
Maybe just point me to the closest restroom
I don't need fu-cking man servin'
Tryin to follow me around, and wipe my ass
Laugh at every single joke I crack
And half of them ain't even funny like that
Ahh Marshall, you're so funny man, you should be a comedian, god damn
Unfortunately I am, but I just hide behind the tears of a clown
So why don't you all sit down
Listen to the tale I'm about to tell
Hell, we don't have to trade our shoes
And you don't have to walk no thousand miles

Chorus*

Nobody asked for life to deal us
With these bullshit hands with doubt
We have to take these cards ourselves
And flip them, don't expect no help
Now I could have either just
Sat on my ass and pissed and moaned
But take this situation in which I'm placed in
And get up and get my own
I was never the type of kid
To wait but I know to unpack his bags
Never sat on the porch and hoped and prayed
For a dad to show up who never did
I just wanted to fit in
Every single place
Every school I went
I dreamed of being that cool kid
Even if it meant acting stupid
Aunt Edna always told me
Keep making that face till it gets stuck like that
Meanwhile I'm just standing there
Holding my tongue up trying to talk like this
Till I stuck my tungue on the frozen stop sign poll at 8 years old
I learned my lesson and cause I wasn't tryin to impress my friends no more
But I already told you my whole life story
Not just based on my description
Cause where you see it from where you're sitting
Is probably 110% different
I guess we would have to walk a mile
In each other's shoes, at least
What size you where?
I wear tens
Let's see if you can fit your feet

Chorus*

Lately I've been hard to reach
I've been too long on my own
Everyone has a private world
Where they can be alone... sOoOoo
Are you calling me, are you trying to get through OoOo
Are you reaching out for me, and I'm reaching out for you sOoOoo Oo Oo

Yea... To my babies. Stay strong. Daddy will be soon
And to the rest of the world, god gave you the shoes
That fit you, so put em on and wear em
And be yourself man, be proud of who you are
Even if it sounds corny,
Don't ever let no one tell you, you ain't beautiful

Anyhow this morning I got pulled over by the most gorgous guy cop...Thanks to the rain and bad weather, I didnt see him behind me. I was really in a rush to get the hell out of the rain...So when I saw the red light flashing behind me and the one-time siren to warn me to pull over I nearly had a heart attack. I pulled over and did you know why he stopped me???... >:( To tell me that my license plate was missing a screw. It was a warning and that I have to get it fixed. OMG! I think he just wanted to scare me....

Anyways I thought I share what I had for lunch today.... :P :)

I took Charleston out for a jog today but the lake was closed. Its been closed for the last two days, so Im guessing its becos of the rain. Well, I ended up grabbing  lunch instead and took him for a walk at a nearby park...Anyways I think its time to get back in the game and start exersising again. I been slacking off since the holidays and eating really unhealthy food...He! Im even posting it up so i can keep tabs...

Over the weekend I drove to LA and went shopping at the Fashion District. Got nothing, like usual, but a few pieces of fabric for my next project. And I boy tell ya’, these fabric were not cheap! They were 9.00 a yd and I could of gone to yardage town or something and got them for a better price….but the selections they had was Phenomenal. I was flabbergasted when I got into Micheal’s Levines, it was fabric galore!!!!!

Anyhow, just been looking for some inspiration…..

"I believe there are monsters born in the world to human parents.  Some you can see, misshapen and horrible, with huge heads or tiny bodies; some are born with no arms, no legs, some with three arms, some with tails or mouths in odd places.  They are accidents and no one's fault, as used to be thought.  Once they were considered the visible punishments for concealed sins.

And just as there are physical monsters, can there not be mental or psychic monsters born?  The face and body may be perfect, but if a twisted gene or malformed egg can produce physical monsters, may not the same process produce a malformed soul?

Monsters are variations from the accepted normal to a greater or less degree.  As a child may be born without an arm, so one may be born without kindness or the potential of a conscience.  A man who loses his arms in an accident has a great struggle to adjust himself to the lack, but one born without arms suffers only from people who find him strange.  Having never had arms, he cannot miss them.  Sometimes when we are little we imagine how it would be to have wings, but there is no reason to suppose it is the same feeling birds have.  No, to a monster the norm must seem monstrous, since everyone is normal to himself.  To the inner monster it must be even more obscure, since he has no visible thing to compare with others.  To a man born without conscience, a soul-stricken man must seem ridiculous.  To a criminal, honesty is foolish.  You must not forget that a monster is only a variation, and that to a monster, the norm is monstrous."

A BEAUTIFUL MESS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8Mz_kyRlWY
You've got the best of both worlds
You're the kind of girl who can take down a man,
And lift him back up again
You are strong but you're needy,
Humble but you're greedy
And based on your body language,
And shoddy cursive I've been reading
Your style is quite selective,
Though your mind is rather reckless
Well I guess it just suggests
That this is just what happiness is

And what a beautiful mess this is
It's like picking up trash in dresses

Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you write
Kind of turn themselves into knives
And don't mind my nerve you could call it fiction
But I like being submerged in your contradictions dear
'Cause here we are, here we are

Although you were biased I love your advice
Your comebacks they're quick
And probably have to do with your insecurities
There's no shame in being crazy,
Depending on how you take these
Words I'm paraphrasing this relationship we're staging

And what a beautiful mess this is
It's like picking up trash in dresses

Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you say
Kind of turn themselves into blades
And kind and courteous is a life I've heard
But it's nice to say that we played in the dirt oh dear
Cause here we are, Here we are
Here we are [x7]
We're still here
What a beautiful mess this is
It's like taking a guess when the only answer is yes

Through timeless words, and priceless pictures
We'll fly like birds, out of this earth
And times they turn, and hearts disfigure
But that's no concern when we're wounded together
And we tore our dresses, and stained our shirts
But it's nice today, oh the wait was so worth it.

VEIL OF ROSES

First comes love, then comes marriage. A childhood chant, a cutural expectation. Americans believe in falling in love with every fiber of their being. They believe it is their birthright; certainly, that it is a prerequisite for marriage. This is not so where I was raised. In the Islamic Republic of Iran, marriages are often still negotiated between families with a somewhat businesslike quality. In most modern families, girls have some say in the matter. They can discourage suitors, or, as I did, delay marriage by seeking a university degree.

It isn't that Iranian men necessarily make bad husbands. Like my dear father, many are kind and gentle and interested in their wives as people, not just bearers of their children. Then again, some are not. There are family teas, gift-giving’s, and dinners, but a woman often spends no time alone with her fiancé before her marriage. So it is, as one might say in America, a crapshoot. A woman goes into her husband's family with a white gown and she leaves it only in a white shroud, in death.

That is our culture.

La Roux - Bulletproof
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l40bQFqJX6I
Been there, done that, messed around
Im having fun, dont put me down
Ill never let you sweep me off my feet
I wont let you in again
The messages Ive tried to send
My informations just not goin in
Burning bridges, shore to shore
I break away from something more
Im not to, not to love until its cheap
Been there, done that, messed around
Im having fun, dont put me down
Ill never let you sweep me off my feet

Chorus
This time baby
Ill be Bulletproof
[repeat]

I wont let you turn around,
Ill tell you now, Im much too proud
To walk away from something when its dead
Do do do your dirty worst
Come out to play when you are hurt
Theres certain things that should be
Left unsaid
Tick tick tick tick on the watch
Lifes too short for me to stop
Oh baby, your time is running out
I wont let you turn around
And tell me now, Im much too proud
All you do is fill be up with doubt

Chorus
This time baby
Ill be Bulletproof
[repeat]

This time, Ill be Bulletproof
[repeat]

Chorus
This time baby
Ill be Bulletproof
[repeat]
This time baby, this time baby
This time baby, this time
This time baby, this time baby
Bulletproof

Greensleeves was composed by King Henry Vlll for his future queen, Anne Boylen... One of my many favorites tunes, certainly brings me back to the era every time I listen to it.....

Greensleeves
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5ItNxpwChE

Greensleeves- Georgiana Style
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfO_vNI4Yzw

Greensleeves- Renaissance Style
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVWhxoIkHtY

Alas, my love, you do me wrong,
To cast me off discourteously .
For I have loved you well and long,
Delighting in your company.

Chorus:
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves was my heart of gold,
And who but my lady greensleeves.

Alas, my love, that you should own
A heart of wanton vanity,
So must I meditate alone
Upon your insincerity.

Your vows you've broken, like my heart,
Oh, why did you so enrapture me?
Now I remain in a world apart
But my heart remains in captivity.

If you intend thus to disdain,
It does the more enrapture me,
And even so, I still remain
A lover in captivity.

I have been ready at your hand,
To grant whatever you would crave,
I have both wagered life and land,
Your love and good-will for to have.

Thou couldst desire no earthly thing,
But still thou hadst it readily.
Thy music still to play and sing;
And yet thou wouldst not love me.

I bought thee kerchiefs for thy head,
That were wrought fine and gallantly;
I kept thee at both board and bed,
Which cost my purse well-favoredly.

I bought thee petticoats of the best,
The cloth so fine as it might be;
I gave thee jewels for thy chest,
And all this cost I spent on thee.

Thy smock of silk, both fair and white,
With gold embroidered gorgeously;
Thy petticoat of sendal right,
And these I bought thee gladly.

My men were clothed all in green,
And they did ever wait on thee;
All this was gallant to be seen,
And yet thou wouldst not love me.

They set thee up, they took thee down,
They served thee with humility;
Thy foot might not once touch the ground,
And yet thou wouldst not love me.

'Tis, I will pray to God on high,
That thou my constancy mayst see,
And that yet once before I die,
Thou wilt vouchsafe to love me.

Ah, Greensleeves, now farewell, adieu,
To God I pray to prosper thee,
For I am still thy lover true,
Come once again and love me.

Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves was my heart of gold,
And who but my lady greensleeves.

Summer Reads. ( I got this free app on my cell. I had just begun reading, found out there’s also a movie... :) )

The Picture of Dorian Gray
By Oscar Wilde
THE PREFACE

The artist is the creator of beautiful things. To reveal art and conceal the artist is art's aim. The critic is he who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things.

The highest as the lowest form of criticism is a mode of autobiography. Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault.

Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only beauty.

There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.

The nineteenth century dislike of realism is the rage of Caliban seeing his own face in a glass.

The nineteenth century dislike of romanticism is the rage of Caliban not seeing his own face in a glass. The moral life of man forms part of the subject-matter of the artist, but the morality of art consists in the perfect use of an imperfect medium. No artist desires to prove anything. Even things that are true can be proved. No artist has ethical sympathies. An ethical sympathy in an artist is an unpardonable mannerism of style. No artist is ever morbid. The artist can express everything. Thought and language are to the artist instruments of an art. Vice and virtue are to the artist materials for an art. From the point of view of form, the type of all the arts is the art of the musician. From the point of view of feeling, the actor's craft is the type. All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril. It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors. Diversity of opinion about a work of art shows that the work is new, complex, and vital. When critics disagree, the artist is in accord with himself. We can forgive a man for making a useful thing as long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely.

All art is quite useless.

Wine-tasting: A Party For 6

We gals spent our “Independence Day” winetasting in Temecula. Of course we had a grand time--  &I’m definitely looking forward to do it again... Ticket cost: $130 per person, and that included 4 wineries, lunch and a shuttle ride from Old Town to Temecula.

11:00 arrived in Temecula @ Wiens Family Estate Winery. We toured the barrel room, and got a glimpse into how their wines were made... I purchased 4 bottles of wines and ended up joining membership. I don’t know if that’s a bad thing or a good thing, but I certainly don’t want to become an alcoholic  ;D

12:30 Wilson Creek Winery. We stopped for lunch and made a few friends...* Note to self: Almond champagne was delicious... I regret not getting it....

2:15  Masia de Yabar. Masia is owned by a Peruvian family so it has somewhat of an Argentina feel to the whole place. There was live music and salsa dancing... we soaked in the sun and enjoyed overlooking the grapevine hills of Temecula....

3:15 Oak Mountian Winery. Oak Mountain was more of a relaxed environment. That day our  shuttle was filled with a bunch of hot Arabians, or Arabs  :D  indeed we got a whole lot more to drink than intended, thanks to them lol

(Will add rest of the pictures once I upload them)

What I learned on tour:
* The best wine, is the one YOU like
* There are Dessert Wines...really? lol ( I ended up with one bottle; rosy)
* The shallow type of champagne glass originated with Marie Antoinette. It was first formed from wax mold of her boobs :D
* Its okay to admit that Im a professional drinker lol
*the grapevines are watered twice a day for 5 minutes... Instead of watering the entire plant, there are waterpipes that drips the water down to the roots. How you water determines the taste of the wine as well...  the rest, well, I can’t remember... :D

The ballad of Mulan

The sound of one sigh after another,
As Mulan weaves at the doorway.
No sound of the loom and shuttle,
Only that of the girl lamenting.
Ask her of whom she thinks,
Ask her for whom she longs.
"There is no one I think of,
There is no one I long for.
Last night I saw the army notice,
The Khan is calling a great draft -
A dozen volumes of battle rolls,
Each one with my father's name.
My father has no grown-up son,
And I have no elder brother.
I'm willing to buy a horse and saddle,
To go to battle in my father's place."

She buys a fine steed at the east market;
A saddle and blanket at the west market;
A bridle at the south market;
And a long whip at the north market.
She takes leave of her parents at dawn,
To camp beside the Yellow River at dusk.
No sound of her parents hailing their girl,
Just the rumbling waters of the Yellow River.
She leaves the Yellow River at dawn,
To reach the Black Mountains by dusk.
No sound of her parents hailing their girl,
Just the cries of barbarian cavalry in the Yan hills.

Ten thousand miles she rode in war,
Crossing passes and mountains as if on a wing.
On the northern air comes the sentry's gong,
Cold light shines on her coat of steel.
The general dead after a hundred battles,
The warriors return after ten years.

They return to see the Son of Heaven,
Who sits in the Hall of Brilliance.
The rolls of merit spin a dozen times,
Rewards in the hundreds and thousands.
The Khan asks her what she desires,
"I've no need for the post of a gentleman official,
I ask to borrow a camel fleet of foot,
To carry me back to my hometown."

Her parents hearing their girl returns,
Out to the suburbs to welcome her back.
Elder sister hearing her sister returns,
Adjusts her rouge by the doorway.
Little brother hearing his sister returns,
Sharpens his knife for pigs and lamb.
"I open my east chamber door,
And sit on my west chamber bed.
I take off my battle cloak,
And put on my old-time clothes.
I adjust my wispy hair at the window sill,
And apply my bisque makeup by the mirror.
I step out to see my comrades-in-arms,
They are all surprised and astounded:
'We travelled twelve years together,
Yet didn't realise Mulan was a lady!'"

The buck bounds here and there,
Whilst the doe has narrow eyes.
But when the two rabbits run side by side,
How can you tell the female from the male?

I watched Mulan over the weekend, for the first time. It really goes to show that girls can do basically anything boys can... I enjoyed it...  :)

:sunny: Groovy Summer Song By James Otto :sunny:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DLzUIsRB0M

When the days start gettin' warmer and the sun starts sinkin' slower
Weekends go by faster and beer starts tasting colder
Wanna tune into a station that takes me on a soul vacation
Hey there mister DJ, come on, won't you please play
(Chorus)
One that we can dance to start a big romance to
Make it pretty simple so we all can sing along
While cruisin' with the top down, crank it up real loud
A groovy little summer song, yeah

Make me feel the rhythm of one tropical island
Take me to a beach somewhere where everyone is smilin'
Sippin' margaritas and eyein' senoritas
I can almost see 'em swayin' once ya start playin'
(Chorus)
One that we can dance to start a big romance to
Make it pretty simple so we all can sing along
While cruisin' with the top down, crank it up real loud
A groovy little summer song, play that guitar, now come on

Play something sexy to make her fall in love with me
Won't you please---play

Repeat Chorus twice

OK. So we don't know if unicorns are real. Yet we also don't know if they aren't. So, what do we do? I think we simply need to believe one way or another. I believe they are real...so in my head, they are always real. And I bet no one can prove me wrong, either. :D

Of course, they are real. As a matter of fact, a beautiful horse was found a few years ago... and it was believed to have magical powers. My stepfather had mentioned to me recently that he had traveled up north (cal) to see the horse twice.... and there was even pictures of it. But he wasnt able to find them for me... :D :D :D I say i believe it too, and heck they do exist... we just dont see them...  >:( ::) :D

Over the weekend we went up to Delhi, Ca to attend my nephew and his wife’s wedding. We stayed for an entire day than drove home that same evening.... So I was up for more than 24 hrs.... if it wasn’t for the coffee, I would have been knocked out by the time I got there.... But I was too excited to be grumpy...  ;D

They had the most beautiful wedding and my nyaab was by far the most beautiful bride I ever seen... The reception was held at Ceres Comm. Center & Boy! I didn’t expect to see so many familiar faces; people I haven’t seen in over more than a decade.  :) :)

At the end of the evening, guess who caught the bouquet of flowers??? I was expecting girls to stampede over each other, but no, there was over a dozen of hands reaching out for it and for some reason it landed into mine...

K and I grew up together and he has always been more like a brother to me than a nephew. When no one was around, we had each other. It was somewhat emotional, but in a very good way. Now, he will no longer spend another day a lone & I’m glad that he had found someone to complete him  :)

I feel like Im walking on quicksand, the more I try to drag my feet out, the further I sink into the pit! >:(

Anywho, I dedicate this song to

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryoykj8us00

Sail Away
Sail away with me honey
I put my heart in your hands
Sail away with me honey now, now, now
Sail away with me
What will be will be
I wanna hold you now

Crazy skies all wild above me now
Winter howling at my face
And everything i held so dear
Disappeared without a trace
Oh all the times i've tasted love
Never knew quite what i had
Little darling if you hear me now
Never needed you so bad
Spinning round inside my head

Sail away with me honey
I put my heart in your hands
Sail away with me honey now, now, now
Sail away with me
What will be will be
I wanna hold you now

I've been talking drunken gibberish
Falling in and out of bars
Trying to find some explanation here
For the way some people are
How did it ever come so far

Sail away with me honey
I put my heart in your hands
Sail away with me honey now, now, now
Sail away with me
What will be will be
I wanna hold you now
Sail away with me honey
I put my heart in your hands
Sail away with me honey now, now, now
Sail away with me
What will be will be
I wanna hold you now

I was driving through the mountains during a horrible thunder storm....on a lonely two-way road. Lighting bolts and thunder rumbled across the darken sky...There was not a car in sight but my own. As I continued driving west, the sun began to slowly peak from behind the clouds and as the sun came up, so did a rainbow...Soon all I saw was the clear blue skies and the warm sunshine. This song captured that moment...I’ve beat the storm. :) :)

Wow! For the longest time I've been trying to remember this song.  It has always just lingered outside the grasp of my memory..   Lol! I'm almost giddy at this find.

Music is such an extraordinary key to unlocking treasures of the soul.

It was a bitter-sweet time in my life when I first heard to this song.  Such sweet sorrow the memories unleashed, yet I am helpless, even eager to fall blissfully into the once hidden recesses of my past.

Hey thanks, for this moment in time, in this otherwise cold, long and boring day at the desk.

I'll not soon forget this song!

Last week was one absolutely crazy and WEIRD week...I was reborn (?) again and had my house blessed by a few special visitors from Michigan who was kind and thoughtful enough to stop by & see me *** that experience tho, was very bizzare...I would like to  find time to talk about so I’ll probably save it for a later time*** but anyhow, these songs make me feel so badass today... I think I’m going to go conquer the world now...  ;D :D
Ordinary, music does rock the soul! And that particularly song brought back some very fond memories for me as well... it took me some time to find the title and artist....for some weird reason I thought westlife was the group singer for this song... :buck2:

Elevate me...I've got no self control
Been living like a mole now......A star Lit up like a cigar Strung out like a guitar Maybe you can educate my mind.....

I miss my own "getting lost" drives.  Especially during the fall, down lonely back country roads or along side the river.  The sights saturated with the fiery colors of the autumn.  Music turn up, windows rolled down, and winding roads paint my path as the fallen leaves reluctantly scatter in the wake of my passing..

You seem like such a free spirit! Thanks for sharing.

Tomorrow......
Tomorrow...I have to say goodbye. Tomorrow...I have to leave you.
I don't know...how much longer it will be. We'll meet again.
I worry about you...you probably think the same. I worry about you...when I'm not there with you.
Let the sky...the moon and the stars look after you. Let you know...that I'll miss you.
Because I'm your man, because you're my girl.
Because we belong to one another. And that will never change.
A promise is a promise, that we'll meet again.
Only my body is away from you, I left my heart with you, please look after it
Thank you...with all of your love. Thank you....
Leaving...so we can meet again. We are physically apart from each other. But our hearts are bound together.
Because I'm your man, because you're my girl.
Because we belong to one another. And that will never change.
A promise is a promise, that we'll meet again.
Only my body is away from you, I left my heart with you, please look after it
If one day, you find yourself confused. Just look up at the stars in the sky.
And you'll see, I'm smiling for you to be happy
Because I'm your man, because you're my girl.
Because we belong to one another. And that will never change.
A promise is a promise, that we'll meet again.
Only my body is away from you, I left my heart with you, please look after it

I've moved away, because thought I'll find whatever it is that I was looking for. But with all these months & weeks that had passed, I've came to a realization that it was myself I was searching for all this time...the truth is, it had always been with me' & I've always had it.

I hereby dedicate these musics to my summer. Too bad I missed out on  the fair this year but I'll be looking forward to it next year.....

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

It finally hit me, the other day, how lonesome life has become... I guess, I've finally accepted it... It seems like all the vibrant colors in my life are slowly draining away to a complete mush ... but perhaps this is just a part of growing older...We lose interest in the things we once enjoyed... And spend time looking for new things to fill our life... And if the canvas is bare, then heck, I say, we need to start painting again... :)

This weekend, however, my friends are coming up, and we we're  going golfing on Sunday....we have plans for the museums and  if time allows, we'll squeeze in some shopping...

I still have my eyes set on that same car.....so that mission needs to be accomplished before the end of the month - I guess, that'll be a sweet birthday surprise for myself... If I do decides to get it....

Anyhow....no matter how crappy some of my days are....  I look at you, and the worlds alright with me'...

That first picture is of the town I'm living in now. If enlarged, you can see my house. ;D :D

So romantically breath-taking. I can see why don't want to move now.

Reporter, It is a beautiful sight..!  That picture was taken on the side of idyllwild over looking the city. It's a small city wedged in-between two mountains--so I no longer get the view of the ocean nor the beautiful sunset from where I am, just these huge mountains all around - pretty depressing if you ask me...  :( ;D

In the winter time, both mountains are covered with snow. And in the summer time, we have fires - just the other day the mountain caught on fire-- our usual brush fire.
 :)
Oh it's idyllwild, I corrected my spelling. Must be an age thing  :idiot2: :D

I'm sure you can climb over the other side and view the ocean again.

Still romantic whether it's idylly or idyll...wild, I mean. :D

So, are there jobs around that area besides the bars? lol...

I wish I could hop over the mountian and see the ocean...but now the ocean is two hours from here.. There are hidden places around here that can be romantic..., like Idllywild.... But overall, it's a quite and lifeless town... :( it's the desert, so what can you expect  ;D

Aside from the two small bars we have here, jobs are pretty hard to find. I guess, I was expecting to move here than just find a job and get settled in. But it was harder than I thought... I have to drive really far out just to find anything... -out west, near the Redlands area nor out east to Palms Springs. All in all, it's quite a trip..so I shouldn't complain  :)

What's the city's population, BD? And are there many Hmong there? The views look beautiful and breath-taking to me. But if there aren't Hmong, I am not sure I will be able to live there very long without wanting to move out. But then driving anywhere from there should be quite pleasant, right?

Reporter, there are approximately 20,000 people who lives here, and by what I know there is also a big Hmong population here as well. But I hardly see them around, unless I went to church...there is only one big free way that runs through the town... It's quite pleasant but, not quite country enough to say that it's beautiful... Hahah I live in around the downtown areas and all I can say is that most shops are out of business...so you'll see a lot of empty buildings and stores... Most people who lives here are the white and the elderlies..., Hispanics  and sometimes even Indian  ;D

Nice pix of Idllywild but if you take hi-way 74 from Palm Desert, there's a vista point there that looking down to Palm Desert that is so beautiful at night. If you take a partner with you, you'll fall in love, that's how beautiful and romantic that scenary is.. hehehe

It's not that lonely then. I was wondering why a lone Hmong girl would live there.
