my dishnetwork contract expire this month and i'm not going back to paying $60/month for the limited time i watch tv. so i'm putting together a guide/series of things i can do with internet tv. more or less for noobs like myself and others who are interested. if you have more, please add.
say goodbye to cable/statellite
Internet TV
-Connect antenna to TV to get local HD channels
-Install BOXEE program at http://www.boxee.tv on laptop to watch full TV episodes, movies, shows from various sources such as Netflix, Flickr, Youtube, Hulu.
-For sports, access ESPN3 on the web or watch on local HD channels
-Watch LIVE shows at channelsurfing .net
-install tenchistv toolbar from http://www.tenchistv.com/ and watch unlimited PPVs and other networks. You can also suscribe $9.99/month for unlimited HD programmings/PPVs.
everything i need, customized for less than my current satellite bill.

just found out that firefox has an add-on toolbar to watch over 1000 channels. go to firefox.com>click add-ons (top tap) and search for 'tv-fox'> download and watch.

watch for google tv coming later this year. same with boxee the 'box set' with remote control.
internet tv have so much more than cable and satellite. so much freedom and less out of pocket.

hdmi for video and sound. hopefully you have a new laptop/pc otherwise bring out the double speakers. O0
