Title: Secrets
Post by: NkaujNom on March 24, 2011, 09:57:17 PM
Today I held lilies,
Brought them to my face to feel the soft embrace
Spring quickly unfolded from hidding in frost,
For what felt like eternities gone ignored,
The soft fragrance was sweetly tantalizing,
And for just a diminutive moment,
I forgot all the worldy atrocities in a twinkling.

For that, the sweetest moment I imagined
Sitting with you over sweet wine
In tall, clear glasses and mesmerized by your eyes,
If only I could sum enough courage to say
I'm a white liar, but never a cheat,
Who regards loyalty and sincerity in a single twine,
But in front of you I dare not say nor look,
Silly you'd find me or banished we'd be,
Yet these secrets for you ache to whisper.

And so mornings you will cherish,
Afternoons you will find appetite,
Evenings you will dance,
And a night's sleep you will not lose;
These lilies I will remember of you.
