Not true...

HP has made no announcement of killing Web OS. In fact what will happen likely is licensing Web OS to 3rd party companies such as HTC, Samsung etc for development and letting those companies create and manufacture their own devices running WEb OS is smarter.

Plus there are gonna be ways to root or flash it to run Android or even iOS in near future.

Ding Ding!!!....I'm waiting for this to happen. My roommate was able to order 3 units (hopefully they ship them) and also will hope that someone successfully develops procedures to flash and root android on the HP units.
