Title: Had to remove Norton Internet Security Scan from a computer yesterday..

Oh boy, what a headache. Luckily I found a tool to get rid of it. PHEW!

nortons and macafee are a haha to remove, actually found avg became a haha to remove too

Should try sophos.  It's pretty bad too.   Sophos is a memory hog and will slow down your pc to a crawl.  Then when you try to remove it.  IT doesn't completely remove itself so you can't install another antivirus on your system.  Luckily, revo uninstaller can get rid of it.

they have a removal tool on the norton site where it deletes all the norton crap for ya

What version of norton  do you? Norton require a remove tools to removed it out on the registry.

First tool I tried was the tool on their site.  Didn't work.  Then I found a removal tool from another site that finally worked.  Phew!

the computer gets fast again after a virus did the job for me and never was able to install norton or other security softwares.

guess it must be time to wipe it clean and reinstall everything.
yeap. That virus was pretty bad.
