I have a feeling Apple is gonna sue Asus over almost exact design. Anything to win over people's money.
I'd still go with Asus just because I have one and a lot cheaper than a Mac. I don't why Mac should be so expensive.

Apple will always be technologicall y inferior when you compare specs.  They are really good consoles though, console as in you can't or shouldn't change it otherwise you may screw up something.

I have the previous ASUS UX301LA laptop. It is in every way comparable to or better than a MacBook air, except the battery runtime. It is a premium laptop and certainly not cheaper than a MacBook air. Paid somewhere around $1850 for it. Hopefully I won't have a need to replace it soon.
