Maybe it's just these tires but...

Dang.. even at low speeds... I feel like I need more downforce for stablity and grip.

Add weight.  Downforce solved.  Need less weight then throw out the doors, seats, disconnect 3/4 of the bolts that are or are not important, strip the paint, use cardboard tubing for a roll cage, etc.

Cardboard tubing for a roll cage  :2funny: good one. Paint it and no one will be the wiser until you actually roll over in a crash.
